Wow! Great job Suzie. The cakes look beautiful and delicious 😋 🤤 You have encouraged me to ice my children's birthday cakes. I have been shying away yet I have a few tools already. Waiting for December 🎉

You can also call it a “rotating cake stand”. I also recommend an offset spatula, even from the art section works.

Mixer overheated....usually happens with my stick blender when I make mayo and have to mix a lot. I cover it with a wet cloth for a while....but it still takes long before cooling enough to work again. I guess I got what I paid for😊

Also the problem with your yeast might be your room temp getting too high, to avoid this you can keep it in the fridge or the freezer.

So I 100% laughed out loud when you likened your sprinkles to the age of Moses! So I was thinking since the cake turned out so beautiful, red & white, they represented Jesus, his death and purity of the Lamb, so you should call them strawberry Jesus cake!! You did a beautiful job, and you did your best. Thank you for sharing! You sure make the best of everything, and just roll with the power outage. Oh and if you ever want to "make" a lazy Susan, put marbles in a very shallow round dish, and then place a plate on top, it will move like a lazy Susan, so you can decorate your cake Also a tip if you want your fruit to be shiny, and sweet, make a glaze of 2 cups of sugar, and 1 cup of water, bring to a simmer just to melt the sugar in the water, dip your fruit in the glaze using skewers, then plunge in ice water very quicklyand remove too a cooling rack, the glaze will harden fast when dry, then you can use to decoratecakes and such, or just enjoy the candy coated fruit as a treat. ❤❤❤❤ God is so very good!!
