Im no doctor or anything, but I think this could be a really interesting pitch for doctors/nurses to wear for quick access to sanitizer. I think he really limited himself by applying it only to surfing. Plus patenting the nozzle or whatever, he could easily license that out to other people/companies with squirt bottle mechanics necessary for their bottles. I could imagine a lotion brand licensing it so that lotion doesnt go everywhere in bags and purses and could eliminate the need for lids on lotion bottles. Hes really limiting the possibilities by form fitting his business to surfing, which is understandable if its a passion of his, but hes gotta think about the viability of the business first. Its a cool product and concept, he could do a lot with it.

If I recall, when Shark Tank started out, the sharks invested in more of this kind of deal, and products that folks had invented, really helping to lift the little guy up and giving him a chance. Now it seems they only invest in already really successful businesses. It was nice to see this, especially from the one shark who seldom invests in anything, let alone outside of her wheelhouse. Yea to her! This was refreshing.

You’re absolutely right. And they paid for it. On various podcasts Mark and others have said they lost money on the majority of their deals. At the end of the day we can want to help people but if you don’t have sales or a vision, the sharks aren’t going to help, nobody can. They invest in people who have a vision and can articulate the path they’re going to take that will make them a success.

The purpose of investment is to see a profitable return on that investment. The more you invest in various projects, businesses and products, the more you learn about markets and what does and doesn't ultimately sell/become profitable, which informs your ability to forsee what will or won't perform. An investment without a return would just be the sharks giving their money away, which is a nice idea, but then the show wouldn't be Shark Tank, it would be the Marine Charity show.

I'd be the first buyer of this product. I think what they did was the same mistake with scrub daddy. If he just adds watch features AND the antenna where you pull it out for tracking navigation that some surfers have on watches, he wouldn't have to change the name. Especially if he adds the night light feature. This could sky rocket higher than those shark bands. I'd be sprinting to buy one. They definitely could've EASILY helped him and sold millions. Especially instead of being only $20 it would be $60-70. Also, he can make separate watches under his name and brand and call it whatever suits for everyone else with just the watch with sanitizer, lotion, sunscreen, etc. Make the bands custom colored too. Perfect.

This product has some potential... You can make it premium looking maybe with some matte finishes... you can make 2-3 compartments inside and rotate it ominitrix to select the required chamber.. It doesn't need power, it's just static logo of indicating which chamber is on... You can have hand sanitizer, lotion, maybe soap, maybe powder, maybe makeup cream, maybe hair wax... There are tons and tons of options... You can sell the loading bottles seperately... for example if the customer wants to load night cream into it... he will buy night cream bottle.. plug that into watch.. click the button on bottle and it fills the chamber of watch... this way people will buy your refills or you can sell them an empty refill where they can put anything they want inside the loading bottle

Decent product, only thing is people are saying now that you really need to let your sunscreen dry to make it effective. This kind of seems like something you would apply in the water, just because of the convenience. People may say its not really worth it then the sunscreen is just going to come off. Also it takes the spot of another watch, and this one doesn't even tell the time.

Eh, not really. The vast majority of delivery drivers have a car, which can carry any product this band would be useful for in a regular bottle. Maybe if someone delivers via bike, but then that's mostly targeting the general cycling market, which is implied when he mentioned action sports.

They tell you this several times over a few months before you get to the show… And here I was... following their advice,.. Now here they are saying "Things Get Awkward" because I was following their advice. Does making me look awkward in public do my company any good? Am I supposed to just standby and take the embarrassment because I was following the advice/orders. That is not me. Also, interesting strange fact that I recognized the second that I got into the tank… They are all vying for attention and air time. Don't they know that they're already stars?

Um... There are some social cues which are telling you to leave. For example "thank You Greg" or even "good luck Greg". Somebody may ask You to leave without staying it in your face straight up. And I think that this was a studio, not a military camp, so You shouldn't obey any orders

That's where the enthusiasm was recognized.
