It is so stressful to wheel with all of that sheet metal... this I'm beginning to learn again. :)

But also, it’s only sheet metal 😅

I’m going to travel with an extra tensioner pulley from now on.

Great Video. I've been to Jericho. I live in Southern NH. Jericho is a great park. I actually joined the club that maintains that Jericho Jeep trail. NWOR Club. I'm glad that Jericho keeps getting visitors from other states. I'll be back up for the Creepy Craw on Halloween 2023.

Great edit Jon. This was an awesome trip to be on. I got the badge of honor, but I'm wearing custom badges from that "green trail" that I'm sticking with.

Thanks Jamie! Rock those custom badges with pride brother 👊🏼

You should check out field and forest in southern New Hampshire

I would love to, however I don’t really think my rig is suited for it! Those trails look gnarly

Great edit. Nice to see the XJ out do the Jl. Do you have a diesel in your XJ?

Yes, I swap a 1.9L Volkswagen TDI into it in 2019

Did you use the doubler when climbing?? Rubies are low but not that low.. plus love you do this with a Dana 30!! Great content keep it coming.
@DirtRoadTherapy Жыл бұрын
Yes, I had the doubler engaged and used 2nd gear for the climb. Dana 30 has TORQ Masters Chromoly shafts-that was a game changer for me

Great video! How do you know which trail is the badge of honor trail?
@DirtRoadTherapy Жыл бұрын
I don’t do the badge of honor thing, but there’s an app for it I believe
@charliehatton3781 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I’ve got the app but it doesn’t give me a map, just the location of the area. Maybe I’ll check with Vader
@DirtRoadTherapy Жыл бұрын
It’s one of, if not the only black trail on their map. The one that’s like an outer loop if memory serves.

I go to New Hampshire a lot. I would like to try the green trail at Jericho. I have a 2000 XJ with 4 inch lift and 31 inch Mickey Thompson Baja Legend tires. Also a spartan locker in the rear. What do you think will it be ok for the Green {easy?) trail?
@DirtRoadTherapy3 ай бұрын
Absolutely you’ll be good! The greens there can be challenging because there are much larger rocks than we have on most green trails here, but their trails are wide and you can work your way around most of them. If you don’t have rock sliders, definitely get some before you go unless you don’t care about rocker damage!
@markc62073 ай бұрын
@@DirtRoadTherapy I do care about body damage. My 2000 is actually in good shape. Maybe I should not do this trail then. Thanks for your help. What places would you suggest? Rauch Creek?
@DirtRoadTherapy3 ай бұрын
@@markc6207 rockers are the only body damage you’d really need to be concerned about there. Rausch creek greens generally have much smaller rocks, same with AOAA.

Having had a '99 Grand w/Quadra Drive ll you have to keep them in motion and well maintained but they do work great 32" tire is about where they loose their ability tho As to the XJ vs JL tires and driver style , and a different line , the XJ looks more narrow on the tires
@Jckerwin Жыл бұрын
Just for context. This is an '04 with QD, a Truetrac in the front on 33s. 4.5" lift. Squeaky ball joint that surfaced in the beginning of the trip has been replaced.
@DirtRoadTherapy Жыл бұрын
Ah I thought your diffs were stock, forgot you had a true trac. The thing works, you just gotta have the finesse and ignore your spotter sometimes when they tell you to stop 😅
@Echo22WC Жыл бұрын
Bus didn't hit the rock dead on like the rubi, went to the side of it. Also was either aired down? Turn before you drive, not drive while turning 🤷♂️
@DirtRoadTherapy Жыл бұрын
Slightly different lines yes. Tim’s JL is about 7” wider track width than the Bus, and kept wanting to slide to the left at the rock. I don’t remember what we were aired down to. I was probably at 15 and for sure we both could have gone lower!
@DarksideOffRoad Жыл бұрын
Yeah 15 for me too. Without beadlocks that’s as far as I’ll go which usually does the job.
@DirtRoadTherapy Жыл бұрын
I’ve been chancing it going more like 10 when I have a dedicated park day but only when I’m totally unloaded. Usually it’s more 15-20 when “overlanding” because I’m seeing higher speeds and smoother roads overall
