In theory society has made talking about finances taboo. If you want to discuss finances among people you trust like her friends you should, but I believe the social setting Jay and Kristin surround themselves with is just not necessarily healthy, although this is reality tv show, so it might be for ratings but from what I observe and basing off just that in this little cutscene, there seems to turmoil that its boiling privately and they did not have a constructive discussion about money after his retirement. Which leads me to believe that Kristin does not want to be the leader in the relationship and she knows equality sucks and she thinks Jay is entitled and not working portraying him being lazy and not a man. On her show, she keeps pointing out that he’s retired and that she’s waiting for him to “figure things out”. He did. He played football, made a crapload of money, and he retired. He banged up his body- those body slams didn’t tickle- and if he wants to chill, let him chill. Kristin acts like she’s the only one who has money. And he does do the most of taking care of the kids while she’s off doing her jewelry business. They both have done their share of shaming the other, to be fair. Marriage is hard work. I seriously think they should have aired out their differences with a marriage counselor though.

mia queen - I know what you mean. I've never cared for her much but that's just me. I cringe when she talks. The way she talks sometimes sounds like she is whiny. She always mentions how he has no game but yet, she married him and had kids with him. She is very annoying. The only reason I watch the show is because Jay seems chill. I never make it through an entire episode though.

I come from a very well to do family, and I've never seen a conversation like this ever. Not from fam, not from my friends, not from fam friends. If it's about money then it's only about new opportunities or how to be more efficient. If you have friends like these you need to boot them immidieitaly, they're a cancer. Also anyone that talks about money like that doesn't have it. Anyone that has money they've earned would be either straight pissed or dissmisive all together. It's not a coincidence Jay can buy everyone at that table 15 times over, and he was the one not happy.
