Oh my word!! I had a mouthful of water when that sweet little Manley said “gwound beef” and I bout spit it out because I couldn’t believe how well he said it!! 😮 I expected him to just say beef lol. He’s so so smart and so cute! Have you guys ever tried Paula Dean’s Tomato Grits recipe? It’s like a cheesy rotel tomato casserole. Oh my it’s amazing!! It’s the only way I’ll eat grits lol. Up here in Indiana, people usually eat their grits with butter, sugar and milk. Kinda like how up here most eat sweet cornbread where in the south, like you fix, without the sugar. It’s funny to see the differences in foods according to areas of where we live 😊Loved the video, as always and enjoyed watching Titus and Tyler scouting the cows. Beautiful country for sure!❤️❤️

I was on the edge of my seat for the cattle round up. When he had our little mountain farm in PA. We had an old fashioned timber barn built, pegs not screws & raised Blue ribbon Boer goats for 4H. Sold them for very little money to the kids but traded barn work & help if we needed it. We had chickens(1 took Blue ribbon, 1 second place & our son won junior showmanship at 9 before we had to sell & move when I got sick) Nothing like raising animals in nature like that. He’s only child, they were his playmates.

My husband loves cornmeal mush. Something I had never heard of until I met him. It’s just cornmeal, water and salt cooked on the stovetop. I refrigerate it in a loaf pan overnight. In the morning I slice it, dip it in beaten egg and milk, then cracker crumbs, fry it and he eats it with maple syrup.
