The chicken is called a Jersey Giant, and they only grow to two feet tall on average, not three feet. If a chicken grew to three feet tall, it would have numerous anatomical issues related to it's height, as a birds skeleton can only support so much weight before it's crushed. Chicken skeletons are lightweight, hollow, not adapted well to supporting lots of weight, thus restricting them from reaching giant sizes.
