The staple thing was mind blowing and life changing for me. The normal setting is meant for smaller stacks of paper. The other setting, where the ends of the staple are pointing outward are meant for thicker stacks...of course the quality of the stapler is a factor and the staples themselves but I have to staple packets for assessments and the wider setting and a good stapler and sturdy staples...I show everyone.

Back plate on the back of a desk, PLUS a built in floor outlet designed for this. Worked in a call center - hugely stressful, but yeah if you trail off or sound like you are asking a question when you are making a statement, people absolutely pick up on it and use it as an excuse to make them feel better about making you the scapegoat for their issue, people don’t call customer service because they are having a good day, projecting confidence and competence really cuts down on the amount of unpleasantness but it requires conscious focus.

@eiriankt3 жыл бұрын
My room is small enough I built my futon bed in there and went "this thing is never leaving, bc I'd have to take it apart." My desk is wedged between it and the wall. If I tried to face the desk away, I wouldn't be able to get to the chair, & it would have to be so close to the wall I'd have to stand on the chair to be able to sit in it.
@CarinaCoffee3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it is a really privileged Pinterest-mom thing. Sasha might still be able to pull it off in the house she build, because the room is pretty big and if it's not too late she could get outlets installed in the floor. But for the average person that doesn't build their own place this is ridiculous.

I worked in a call centre for faults. So I was taking 50 calls on average a shift all with people who were already upset their service wasn't working. I now get anxiety whenever my phone rings. I tend to let the call ring out and call them back 5 seconds later instead of answering it.

Ok. I need to point out some things: 1) wires. I have 6 things plugged in on my desk. I made a small shelf behind where a put the multi plug and all the wires. 2) that Microsoft word button doesn’t work at all. Tried it several times. 3) opening the creamer (or many others). It’s just convenient that shape opens it. It’s actual use is to prevent leaking 4) that bottle clip thing doesn’t work either.
@KameronCrawford3 жыл бұрын
