for point at around @7 mins in video ...... go for a company which makes plan with 6 hrs a PD for whatever it is planning. e,g a module will need 60 man hours to implement then it needs 10 days to implement not 6.5 days [9 hr/PD]. company which considers 6 hrs as 1 pd is practical planner . here you can plan certifications and other absolutely essential threads else they just remain plans. and not learning in IT is suicide.

Let's assume bhai... I am working as a .Net developer i have been working in this field since 2 years. Now i think that i am the smartest in the field. In this mean time i have learned blockchain and all. But would this be a good idea? To pursue a different field out of your experience.. Like i dont get it people say if u work at IT industry u needa learn everytime. But if we work with new technologies, getting promotions and higher packages are relatively less. Isn't it ouk to work with 2yr of good .NET projects rather than going somewhere u know less about.?
@manishtripathi37512 жыл бұрын
You are narrowing this down to tech stacks. Thats not the right way to think. Take a look at the overall work you are doing - are you becoming better at designing, estimations, uneventful pr reviews, are you becoming the go to person for any .NET doubts faced by others on team. Then think about the scope, is that widening or do you see chances of more scope getting added in your current team/company going forward. Thats the only way you can grow. I'm not against exploring different verticals like blockchain, but beware that it should be interest driven and not outcome, else will leave you depressed. You might never encounter blockchain in your work directly but a different perspective could be its making you better at grasping new things. And maybe out of 10 new things you learn, 1 will come your way someday.
@manishtripathi37512 жыл бұрын
And if you still feel that your scope is limited and comparable to that of a freshie joining the team, maybe its time to explore changing teams or companies.
@selvio82 жыл бұрын
Manish bro.. Changing teams in the same company is possible? With same amount of pay and position...
@manishtripathi37512 жыл бұрын
@@selvio8 I maybe biased based on my experiences, but should be possible with most companies. Company's perspective around it generally is if I restrict him and the guy doesn't feel excited anymore, there's a high chance he would switch the company itself hence more loss for them overall. Hence they generally allow team switch

@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay Can SDEs can switch to EM roles directly after some experience or does it require something different?
@manishtripathi37512 жыл бұрын
@@aniruddhachidar6222 Yes sde's can pursue different verticals, not only limited to EM but TPM, PM roles as well.. most companies do encourage it. However sde -> em is more frequent. At amazon for example, you are allowed to switch once you are an sde2, but you need to develop some experience prior to that like there would be reportees(interns, junior sdes) assigned to you whom you need to manage/mentor, etc and then the role change officially takes place.
