I totally agree with you on all counts Ang. I have ordered 10 wigs and have been unhappy with all of them for various reasons... sold them all, still looking for that perfect one!

Hi Sue, it is very frustrating isn't it? I have sold most and selling more and decided to only keep two of all the wigs I have purchased. A very expensive exercise unfortunately.

Your reviews are very helpful and honest. Because of you I was comfortable enough to purchase Brooklyn by Henry Margu. I am also a brunette, so it’s difficult to choose a color. Most of the you tube reviews are for blond colors. Thank you again. Hope I like what I ordered. 😊

I appreciate this advice. I don't have hair loss but have had it with the constant coloring as my dark brunette hair has grayed ... starting back in my 20s.

I think that could be me as my hair is growing back very dark grey so in some future I can see me colouring my hair.

Thank you so much for this video Angela. Really appreciate it. I have so much hair loss due to untreated hypothyroidism and now menopausal with rock bottom oestrogen. Fighting with docs to even speak to me about hrt. Crazy over here in Ireland. If they don't do something soon, all my hair will be gone. I've been thinking about getting a wig for a while but I wouldn't know where to start. This video has been so informative Angela. Thank you again. One question, where do you buy your beanies? You've got some really beautiful ones and I'd love to get my hands on some. You're looking really well. Always great to see ya x

Hi, I am so sorry for the late reply. I hope the video was helpful. I have found finding a wig a real challenge. I love my beanies so much. I highly recommend Jon Renau softies. The one I wear the most is in the fabric spirit tales. They are so soft and comfortable. If you google jon Renau there are a number of websites you can purchase from. I just chose a site as close to NZ I could find. The other beanie I like (in my profile picture) is by a Danish brand call Christine Boho Turban in Satin Snakeskin. That is nice for going out but my favs are the Jon Renau. I passed a few of them on to a friend just starting chemo and she loves them too. I kept my two favs I just mentioned. I hope that helps xxx

I have seen all your videos and this particular one I saw is what I think suits you beautifully both color wise and style. GRWM April Favs and Fails | Over 50 | Mature Makeup Tutorial. Going dark brown is not going to look as nice on you imo. I guess when you do your wig reviews and I see you in a dark colored wig, then I can truly make the comparison between dark chocolate or lighter brown with blonde highlights. BTW how are your treatments going?? You look so much better than you did a month ago. Take Care!!

So sorry for the late reply. Thank you for your feedback. I do like my hair lighter and think I will do that again once I can play with my hair. I have finished my aggressive treatments and now on hormone blockers only for 5-10 years. I am going to have an infusion soon and then every 6 months for 3 and a half years (this is to lower my risk of bone cancer) but I am feeling so much better. I have a few lingering side effects from treatment but trying my best to push through it and getting more active each week to try and improve my mobility. I am improving each week so very happy xx

Agree! I have fine, blonde hair and most wigs have way too much hair and look horrible!

Hi Milan, it is so hard isn't it? I am sure you will find one. I found a couple of low density wigs that were OK. One is a keeper so as long as I can have one or two for going out and special occasions I am now content. It has been a rather expensive exercise though.

Thank you so much for your videos. I'm having my Stage 3 Breast and Lymph Mastectomy in 4 days time and I would love to know which Web sites you use for your wigs please. I live in Australia so that would be very helpful for me. I will definitely be following your journey.

HI Ange I knew wigs are not all created equal and you need to find one that fits the head - hence my comments about low ear tabs etc. I am sorry it has been such a problematic experience however. Although I worked in the breast unit for several years, I was a surgical nurse and have far more knowledge based around the surgeries themselves with some knowledge about treatment options. The aesthetics isn't really something I was involved with at all. I spent one day with the lady who measured for prosthetics and one day with the lady who assisted with wigs - not exactly an in depth look at what they really do. That was also many years ago and things will have changed somewhat in the intervening years, between then and now. Cancer isn't the only reason for needing a wig, there are many women who have lost hair for other reasons and whose hair may not grow back. For those women finding a wig is probably an essential item and as such may be worth more of an investment perhaps. Your hair is growing back in and most women do find some change to their newly grown in hair than before. After all the trauma your body has been through and the medication to stop some of the oestrogen etc, it's unsurprising it is coming back in grey tbh. Naturally darker hair often goes grey quicker than naturally light hair in most people anyway. Silver hair can be really beautiful and really glam on many women, so I'm sure you'll look fab once it's grown back in sufficiently, to where you don't feel you need the wig any longer. It may be a courser texture than pre treatment, but you'll adapt to that also. You may find it grows back faster once your treatments are mostly done - radiotherapy is also traumatic to the body after all. I like the beanies on you too - you have a great facial bone structure that can carry them off really well. As ever it has to be about how you feel comfortable and what you feel suits your needs best. Best wishes.

Lovely Lorraine, you are always such a ray of sunshine in my feed. I love hearing from you xx I have finally only kept two wigs to wear out and for special occasions. I am wearing my new buzz cut look to work every day and it is such a relief, lol. I hope you are well and life is good for you xxx

i will add to my video descriptions. So I missed this. I buy most from Chiquel available in USA, Canada and Australia. I am lucky the Australian store ship to New Zealand. The Site where I get my clearance wigs is from Wonderful Wigs of Oz in Australia.

I was so grateful you shared the sites . I can save hundreds of dollars shopping through Chiquel in the sale and they just cancelled an order and refunded at my request as I am not sure I need a winter one yet. How good was that and I will definitely buy through them 🕊🤗
