This is good info. I run 33 min 400s consistently and can complete 500s and I still use ancients. Its such a quality of life win. I use them in baba puzzle and kephri if I fuck up. Ive ran thralls and they are cool but ive had to reset more than once on a thrall raid where on ancients I wouldn't have had to.
@DrEdam1000Ай бұрын
Thank you so much. You have no idea how good it is to read a message like that when you get (which is normally the top 10% of players) telling you it’s bad advice meta thralls blah blah. At the end of the day you play what feels comfortable for you and I was giving my opinion that ancients made things easier and I stand by that. I don’t play sweaty never have and still manage the top lvl of content
@ZKern7Ай бұрын
@@DrEdam1000 Yeah for sure they definitely make the raid way more chill and forgiving. Overall thralls save a ton of time if you can consistently complete, sometimes I just cba to complete baba on 30 hp

Good beginner perspective! Tgere is a trick for the Crondis puzzle but overall, good beginner perspective and You aren’t shy to show your own mistakes like walking into venom and not pouring the potion down the vents in the monkey puzzle. Nice job!

This was a brilliant video!! Loved seeing the full kills as a beginner. One thing that I’d add for players new to raids, if you’re wondering why it feels harder than what you see in YT videos, it’s probably because you don’t have max combat stats! 99 str, range, and defense are probably going to make the biggest difference in making PVM way easier. The grind is slow, but just spend the month grinding in nmz or mm2 caves and it’ll be sooo worth it!
@YewksАй бұрын
Also wardens are a huge pain in the ass to learn. If you run out of smelling salts because you’ve died, unfortunately you should reset the raid and try again.

I like the overall video, just a few things I would like to correct (or suggest). Room order doesn’t impact the phantoms in the final phase of wardens, which warden you are fighting is what matters. The reason people generally do 1 of 2 orders has to do with boosts (specifically salt) for lower level raids, and once you start taking walk the path the levelling up of certain bosses. I like the Zebak->Kephri->Akkha->Baba order myself because I find the first 2 bosses quite easy and like the salt benefits on Akkha and Baba, but it only really starts to matter when you’re going up against higher level bosses. As for the phantoms you fight in the wardens, the warden you block the charge orbs from is the one you will fight in the final phase, as the other gets charged up and stands up for phase 2. Generally blocking the orbs on the left of the obelisk (as you came in) is easier as you don’t have to worry as much about melee attacks in phase 2 and Zebak is much more forgiving as you can change prayer before the attacks hit you as opposed to Akkha where it is before the attack is thrown. Baba and Kephri are fairly inconsequential for this unless you have aerial assault on, in which case Kephri becomes significantly harder. As for your invocations, I disagree with a few of them. Double trouble makes Akkha do more memory attacks, and also makes them harder to work with as you have to dodge the orbs you leave behind. I would recommend leaving all Akkha invos off as a learner. Arterial spray and blood thinners are essentially free invos in a solo, they are much better to take. On top of that, I would recommend leaving penetration off, skulls on phase 2 warden were very rough for learning and giving them extra power and disabling your prayer is a great way to die when you panic. Learn the mechanic and then add it, I agree with the other comment that recommends deadly prayers as if you keep your health and prayer decently high (which you should be doing as a learner) you will be able to recover more easily from mistakes. Personally I died the most on phase 2 from those damn skulls as a learner, I wish I had had penetration off so that I could have more easily survived those.

Great video! In the past few months, a friend and I learned TOA together. Ahhka's final phase and Phase 2 warden (haven't used insanity yet) were definitely the hardest part of the entire raid for both of us. Practicing and learning the raid has made me a way better player though.
@DrEdam1000Ай бұрын
Thanks man I appreciate it. Yeah ahhkas final phase is such a pain! And p2 was by far the hardest part of warden to learn. Really glad to hear your doing better though. I think this is the important thing that’s missed loads, you see people on KZbin make it look so easy and then wonder why your finding it harder but it’s simply bloody hard and they have just practiced more than most 😅

@chandlermisener4346Ай бұрын
Disagree with that being the easiest 150. I would turn on deadly prayers, you won't even realize it's on. Double Trouble is one of the last invocations people usually take when raiding, so I was surprised to see that. I also would turn accel/penetrate off if possible, because P2 is a common chokepoint for new players. Turn on all Zebak invos besides Upset Stomach in place of Accel/pen. this is just my personal opinion, coming from someone who has roughly 900+ raid completions between normal and experts. I have taught this raid to several dozen people as well. At the end of the day it's whatever works for you !!

@chandlermisener4346Ай бұрын
@@DrEdam1000 You don't have to tank those bombs damage. If you are one or two tiles any cardinal direction of the bomb it is a safe spot. Also, with penetration on, your prayers are turned off so it's easy to get stacked 40-50+ damage between a bomb and a missed prayer D=

There's literally 0 reason to not to baba and kephri first with divine supers boosting to 118. zebak is way easier under level 4 and akkha is easier above level 4. Also, doing either of those 2 bosses without salt is a mistake
@DrEdam1000Ай бұрын
I agree that higher lvl akkha and zebak would need smelling salts but as I said in the guide when you first start at earlier invocations it’s personal choice. For me I’ve just always enjoyed doing zebak first.
@evang909Ай бұрын
@DrEdam1000 but it's objectively worse to not take advantage of super combat pots. you can play however you want, but the purpose of a guide is to push people in the right direction and build good habits. pre-potting monkey room straight into kephri is by far the best way to approach the rooms and it's a really easy way to improve your toas
@DrEdam1000Ай бұрын
@ I get what your saying and understand where your coming from but could you not pre pot for zebek, go straight into keph and then salts for baba? Personally anything under 4 zebek should be fine without salts
@evang909Ай бұрын
@@DrEdam1000 you could, but it would slow down your times significantly since ranged pots max at 112, compared to the 118 of super combat. Also, pre-potting monkey room is very beneficial, especially for learners
@DrEdam1000Ай бұрын
@ do love debating things. See now it might slow things down a little but that would depend on your gear. Also after finishing akka you normally have a few minutes left on your salts plus if your super desperate to need on monkey room you can use second salt. Will be plenty of time to finish monkey room and baba. However I do appreciate what your saying and taking the time to comment. I love hearing people’s thoughts and views on things
