if u playing on hard . the armored enemies are hard to kill with simple attacks . just use the spiers magic and once they are down on the ground just press circle to execute them

I started rolling right away. I think if you are a zelda vet you may notice that right away and just keep spamming the R. Did notice late that adult Nier runs just as fast as he rolls but by then I just got used to rolling.

Fastest child movement is the same as adult: use the roll/attack/roll chain. It's is still slower than a spear, but since you're restricted to one-handed swords at the beginning of the game it doesn't matter.

I'm really angry here, bro, you know those two sidequests from the forest of myths? SO, I think those dialogue-only cutscenes are cool. But I was already so fed up with having just finished the main quest that I ended up leaving this for later. Guess what! I finished the game and I only discovered now that I lost those damn Quests 💀

If you're just doing Platinum trophy you don't need to worry too much, as long as you've completed 30 quests you don't have to do them all

i wish i knew right on the d pad accessed the spears. i literally collected every single weapon without knowing it because i didn’t know spears were their own category and i thought my game was bugged since i was “missing” about 9 weapons

Found the Boar Tusk somewhere on the ground... that was enough for the mission

After certain events in Aerie in Act II, eagle egg won't be available anymore which is necessary to upgrade Phoenix spear so get it before doing the Aerie quest in Act II. Although now I am stuck with black pearls (also material required for the spear upgrade) since the nodes stopped appearing in Seafront... hope they will be available again later on in the game through the DLC content

Eagle egg can be obtained from 3rd recycled world. You need to clear the game at least once in order to run this world. This is located in your house first floor. Black pearl can be obtained in the seaport Beach area. You the the shining things randomly on the ground? It is random and black pearl is considered to be rear so you may need to revisit the town in order to find one. I kept visiting and checked and got 3 in few hours. Hope this help

When an enemy lies on the ground keep shooting at him with R1, he can not stand up and you can finish him with the finisher (circle on Playstation).

Hey friend..I know this is an "old" game for ya..but I just started playing this & have a quick question...during combat is it set that you can't use a health potion? Every time I hit the options button it just takes me to the screen to change my magic spells. Is there a way to set up health potions to the d-pad like you can with weapons? In the Weapon Story of Virtuous Dingity actually References Brother Nier once you reach it at Max level in Automata saying "The fourth owner was a meek, young man who wanted to aid his sickly younger sister. He gave all to this cause-including his very existence and that of all else in the world"

Playing with a controller with turbo function, having dark blast on turbo so that I can just hold it and fire only stronger blasts has helped balance the hard difficulty and save me the literal pain of constant tapping the button.

04:20 its been some time since i completed the game but only till route b. Thinking of going back but whats that aerial attack at the end of the short sword combo? Bruh, i never use lock on enemies. When i press evade, the character would able to randomly evade to enemies backside . So i need to lock the enemies on to activate perfect evade. Lol

8:10 WEAPONS AREN'T AMAZING????? WDYM? I've used them the entire game with the endings and they were amazing, I mean when lvl4 upgraded the 2-handed one does 999 damage and the one handed one does 570 ALSO 30% EXP gain and Damage

This is also my first time viewing footage of the game that is not created by Square or Platinum for promotion purposes. 2:25 Could it be that they reused quite some assets here? The book seems to behave the same as the pod, this spear animation and lift also looks VERY familiar.

It's almost like Automata was some kind of sequel to the original Nier containing a lot of the weapons of the latter and even more throwbacks ... uncanny.^^

@@MakiMaki. You mean that's intended story wise? I thought most of these were just easter eggs, nodding toward the prequel (the twins, the library, the crates with information from the prequel, etc.) I didn't really think they'd actually be connected, story-wise.
