I hate it so much that women who don't want to get pregnant or to have children are seen as "heartless" and are told "oh you'll have children one day." So what? I don't want to have kids. Does that make me a terrible person? No.

I've quite obviously never been a mother but watching this brought me to tears. Just think about your mother, and all the pain she went through. And to think my mother, despite knowing all the troubles, did this 3 times just to have the little, somewhat bratty, children that she does and still loves and admires. I'm the youngest of all my siblings which means I'm usually the pickiest, clumsiest, laziest, etc. and also means I've never really thought about this. We caused our mothers so much pain while she was preganant, and now that we're here on earth we still ask for so much. They try their hardest everyday and still give us a lot more, they give us love. Uncontrollable love. I swear a mother's love is undying. I will never ever take my mother for granted. Thank You to all the mothers out there for being true heroes

The older people and media should stop brainwashing women into idea, that pregnancy is "magic", that pregnant woman "glows from inside" and "feels joy of waiting a baby". Lets be honest,- pregnancy is a hard job,- and often a hard fight. Do you want to know, how it feels to be pregnant and than to go through the labor? See a typical action movie with a "good guy on a mission", saving the world. Though this process hero gets beaten, injured, insulted, loose his friends,- and finally he lays on the battlefield, covered with dirt and blood, and feels both grief for all he has lost, pride for all he has achieved, but most of all he feels dead-tired. And that is how you will feel. when your baby is small,- like a superhero, who fights alone against all the odds&enemies,- and still your mission is not over yet, because the baby has to be brought up properly also,- which takes at least 18 years. So,- good luck to all the pregnant dames, and my GRAND RESPECT to all of them,- they definitely sacrifice themselves for the survival of the humanity.

Nothing is easy in life and choices have to be made. If you don't want the hassle of labour, then here is a C-section. IMHO, it is much easier to recover physically and psychologically from a C-section surgery (provided you are in decent/good health in the first place) than to recover from hours of labour and perineal+vaginal tears. To each his/her own. 🤷♀

Thank you for your honesty. I just wanted to add: Vaginal bleeding after giving birth. No one tells expecting parents about this but the hospital expects you to know. Your vagina is basically an open wound for weeks and you can lose a lot of blood so you wear diapers. I've read stories of people who said that it even hurts to pee and wipe so many pee into the shower and then rinse. Although medicine has improved a lot in the last 100 years pregnancy remains a difficult and dangerous thing

I’m 23 weeks pregnant & I have HG, which is a very dangerous & painful pregnancy illness & I had to quit my job because it wasn’t safe for me anymore. I had to be hospitalized 3 different times & my life was threatened each time. I’ve had to stay on medications & will have to until baby is out in the world. Pregnancy has been one of the worst experiences of my life. And if I hear one more person say to me that I should just be grateful because atleast I can get pregnant... to me that’s like someone without an arm going up to someone with a broken arm & insisting they should be grateful atleast they have an arm to break. Of course I am grateful I can conceive, but this has almost killed me & made my life so hard in every aspect... it isn’t beautiful & easy for everyone & we shouldn’t be ashamed to say that.

if you don't want to get pregnant, don't have sex.. (some in the comments were like now i don't wanna get pregnant) But i want to get pregnant. i want to feel the baby inside of me. that closeness is something that you can't replicate no matter what, i feel like . i also want to talk to my baby in my stomach and feel all of the weird kicks. i want to hear the babies heartbeat for the first time at the doctor. i want to experience that. i think pregnancy can/might be really horrible but in my eyes all the things i said before make up for it. you're creating a new life. that is mother nature's way of magic. but i was always one to think babies are so cute. i aways love to hold babies. but it's whatever though because i'm only 14 lol ..i think i should clarify i don't plan to get pregnant any time soon 😂😅 UPDATE: I know what contraceptives are. some shit head thought they should let me know. But i'm just saying if you can't deal with the consequences of having sex (there is that tiny tiny TINY percentage that contraceptive won't work and even if it does) you shouldn't be having sex. like...make sure ,if anything were to happen, you trust this person and wouldn't mind dealing with this person for the rest of your life or at least a very long time. I don't suggest just sleeping with anyone but if you are about that life then.... 😐 do you

carrying a human being around in your body is why women are so badass, amongst other reasons. Anyone who thought it was easy didn't do their homework. The first time I was pregnant was from january 2014 to oktober the 17th 2014, and it was amazing! I didnt have morning sickness or any symptoms the first three months. I only har some cramps in the mornings sometimes in my legs and heartburns when I was 30 weeks or so. My labor lasted only 40 minutes, and I dindt use epidural only nitrous oxide, but ofc it did hurt alot and I screamed, but it was over fast. I had some stitches. The breastfeeding went perfectly well, I had alot of milk. And now my son is 10 months today/tomorrow, hes never been sick and are allways happy. I love him so much. Now im pregnant again and 11 weeks in and im having much more struggles physicly and mentally. I had some small bleeding but it was nothing serious. Now that Im almost 3 months in Im not that nauseous anymore, but im still dizzy and sleepy and i get hungry REALLY FAST.. and its hard to find something good to eat at the same time :P This pregnency may be the opposite pregnancy compared to the first one. BUT I will get through it and im looking forward to childbirth even if it hurts, because it really is a fantastic experience

However, to charge you out the butt completely turns off many potential parents!

The first time I was pregnant, it was a miscalculation because I did *not* want to be a parent; EVER!! So, when I found out my life was going to change forever, I literally started bawling when the doctor told me I was pregnant. I became super depressed and had horrible "morning" sickness (they say morning sickness, but it is literally being sick morning, noon, and night). It was horrible; my family was completely unsupportive and I felt completely alone. I decided that *I* had to be stronger for the sake of my baby, so I had him, and I had so many struggles, but he became the highlight of my life.

I would stare at my stomach for hours watching my son twist and kick. Can't wait for next time. When baby is here is when the real work begins trust me. Though now if think toddlerhood might be harder. I have a 14 month old son and he walks almost runs and climbs everything! He is a dare devil and my nerves are destroyed with all the worry. Doesn't help having an anxiety disorder at this juncture in motherhood. But I promise you it is life altering and you will never know a more true love then the love you have for your child.

My hips and groin hurt because they are preparing for childbirth by splitting apart ever so slightly. I can't sleep through the night. I didn't have morning sickness thank God, but the last month and a half have been difficult. Yup, and I'm not looking forward to childbirth because with my first I had to push for 3 hours and get stitches afterwards. Joys of growing and pushing out a tiny human being. But you know what? While some women may have experienced troublesome, conflicting, or difficult pregnancies, does NOT mean you will too. When I found out I was pregnant, everyone told me that it would be awful. And it has been everything but! I am now 33 weeks pregnant and have thrown up once, had any discharge, have had no nauseousness, any crazy side effects, nada. I feel amazing. A lot of it is also psychological. Don't let people fool you into thinking that just because their pregnancy was bad, yours will be too. Enjoy every moment while it lasts.
