THINGS ONLY GOT WORSE! WHY the U TURN on Prince Harry & Meghan Markle?

WHY do people not like Harry & Meghan? What even went wrong? Well, their recent HYPOCRISY is a good indication of the larger problem. Private Jets, 7 car convoys to go...2 blocks? & More days away from the kids than with them are all clear examples of why Harry & Meghan just don't get along with the public.
Today, I've got a bonus video for you, updates on more of #princeharry & #meghan poor choices to discuss and exploring some of the first big red flags that were just signs of what's to come. For 2 people who didn't stir strong feelings in the public at all at first, they've really made things hard for themselves to where now almost everyone who has paid attention to the story, doesn't think Harry & Meghan have shown themselves to be very good people. Way back at the beginning, there were of course, strange fashion choices and questionable "rumors" coming out, but more than that, I think the words and actions straight from the duo themselves had the biggest impact in the public turning their backs. The etiquette fails evident early on, the hypocrisy & more are up for review. WME is working overtime to paint them in a more sympathetic "normal" light, as a couple "just living their lives" and doing "nothing wrong" but when you look a little closer, it's just not adding up, just as none of their past choices add up. I hope you don't mind this revisiting of WHY some of their earliest red flags were so problematic and, if you don't like the chatty, "gossipy" videos, don't worry Friday's fashion edition will be here before you know it!

Meghan was only a royal for 17 months, in that time they moved three times, demanding better houses, they took at least four vacations, and Meghan refused most royal engagements, only wanting to do the 'sexy' stuff, like movie premieres, she thought attending King Charles birthday celebration was 'a bore' and stuck out her tongue at Duchess Camilla, thinking she would appear young and innocent as Princess Diana had truly been at age 19, but Meghan was already over 35, older than Prince William, Princess Catherine AND Prince Harold.

The spare's wife is four to five years older than her husband, I think. So yeah, it doesn't seem like it until you do the math, because William and Catherine are settled into marriage and parenthood and duty and show maturity, while Meghan behaves like a selfish highschooler with no emotional control, but I guess she IS older than all of them.

I think Harry over-estimated his "position" as the Queen's supposed favorite. He thought he could pitch a fit, and he and Meghan would be given places equal to Catherine and William. When that didn't happen , they did the Oprah interview, and he released his book , almost as if he was thinking, "I'll show them!" In his selfishness, I don't think it ever dawned on him that "Granny" might *DIE.* Now he's gone too far to come back. Who in their right mind in the RF would ever trust them? They've lied, manipulated, bullied and slandered the entire family, constantly since they left. It'd be like inviting a viper to sleep on your bosom.

I don’t think Harry ever thought they would get „positions equal to Catherine and William“. Harry understood the workings of the royal family. Meghan did not and chose not to learn. If I look back at the engagement interview I do believe Harry thought she would just perfectly slot into life as a working royal and part of the family. There were also reports from the staff meeting them in Australia that he was constantly embarrassed and apologising for her behaviour. His relationship with his family, especially William and Catherine has done a 180 since he’s been married, too. All of that makes me think that he is in a toxic, abusive relationship that has done serious harm to his mental health and perception of reality.

@@Seldarius Definitely! Not only has Harry now estranged with everyone on his side of the family, he dropped basically all or almost all his lifelong friends because Meghan did not like them. ( Rumor has it the friends were not overly fond of Meghan. Just as William discouraged Harry from rushing into marrying Meghan, Harry’s very good friend Skippy had misgivings.) It’s well known that male abusers tend to isolated their wives from relatives and friends, so has Meghan, probably because of her narcissism and desire to maintain control over Harry.

You should definitely watch that interview! The first red flag I had was the Vanity Fair cover because he dated Cressida, also an actress, for two years and she never gave an interview but suddenly an actress I'd never heard of even though she was on a network I regularly watch was on a major publication was like, "uh oh." The second red flag for me was the entirety of their engagement interview. When she says that she basically never knew about him or his family, I was like, "double uh oh." The confirmation was the 75K engagement dress and I knew she was marrying him the glamour and celebrity of it all but I could not have predicted she would screw it up this royally!

Decided to do some research on her but that was a Pandora’s box and main it was frustrating trying to tell others online and in person I had a horrible feeling about her. Why would anybody expect Meghan Markle to be maternal? What does family actually mean to her? Look how she treats her father. I just don’t see Meg spending a lot of time away from her children as at all odd, because the most important thing in her life is herself. And the most important thing in Harry’s life is Meghan. For all he may drivel on about his sainted mother, much of his childhood would actually have been spent in the care of nannies, so leaving his children for long periods of time in order to devote his time to devotion of Meg probably just comes naturally to him.

Beebs you are quite right. Harry although popular in the UK pre Meghan, was always an entitled, spoiled brat who hated not being as important as William. He made some real public gaffes but the palace was quick to cover for him and sweep it under the carpet. Even at school Harry could not understand why he could not hang out with William all the time. I felt sorry for William and Catherine in the early days of their marriage, because he was always there. Like two's company, three is a crowd. I really think Harry was jealous when William married and started a family. I think this is the reason he rushed into marriage. Chelsy had said no, she did not want to be bound by rules and protocol. She was sensible, mature and the daughter of an Ambassador, so she knew what life would be like as a Royal. For all I know maybe Chelsy was not the only girlfriend who turned him down. Then along comes Meghan, spoilt, entitled and mixed race. Harry probably thought ' I will show them'. This is where the problems began with William. William counselled Harry not to rush into anything with Meghan but knowing Harry he probably threw his dummy out of the pram. Meghan was not willing to learn or accept advice. I really think she thought being a member of the Royal Family made her equal to all the Royal Ladies (including her late Majesty), it would have really irked her to learn that there is a pecking order and she was quite low down on it. Catherine worked hard, at first she made a few mistakes but soon learned to take advice and guidance and it shows. No one would ever guess now, that she was not born a Royal. Meghan, had she been made to wait, would not have married Harry. Being a member of the Royal Family is no walk in the park and unless born into it, it takes a special type of person willing to live that life.

The engagement video is really what put me off her, there was just something about her that seemed phony . One thing that really struck me was the look on her face when Harry said she’d be a good part of the team ( meaning with William, Catherine and him.). Her face showed that she didn’t like being called part of a team , she wanted to be the star. She ultimately convinced Harry of her star power ; one of his complaints against the Royal family was that they were just jealous that she was doing the ‘job’ better than people born into the role.

I agree completely with you. I noticed that about the engagement interview as well. The moment Harry said that he and Meghan would be great team members of the RF the big smile disappeared in a split second. A mask slip showing her true emotions. I noticed a simular mask slip with Amber Heard when she stepped out of her limo with a reluctant Johnny Depp in tow. She smiled until she heard the crowd were chanting his name even though it was her premier. The smile instantly disappeared. Gone.As soon as a few started to call her name the sullen look disappeared. They may be actresses but neither can seem to disguise their true emotions. Fake all the way

I am mixed race just like Meghan and close to the same age, just a few years younger and I was actually excited about her engagement to Harry. I liked her California casual fashion style and thought she was beautiful. But as I started watching more interviews with her something just seemed off and then, being a close follower because at the time I was a fan, I noticed she would say one thing and then say something else. (Like growing up poor but her dad worked in lighting in Hollywood and they went on yearly trips to Hawaii because her mom was a travel agent. And also trips to Tahoe and dance classes but she would also say she watched them scrape pennies together to eat at Sizzler). I actually came to KZbin to see if anyone else felt the same and soon found I wasn’t the only one feeling mislead and like we were all being fed BS.

I initially felt sorry for her because her family seemed to be clinging on to the fact she was with Royalty. However the more I saw of her, the less I liked her. It started when I noticed how she always sat in the middle of whatever she and harry were sitting on. She was always plonked in the middle with harry at the side. Then her behaviour became more pronounced. She always looked sloppy.... refusing to follow the Queen's guidelines etc.

I always thought Harry was the cheeky Prince, and he seemed kind of immature but fun. I never heard of Meghan Markle; I watched the Royal Wedding, but still knew nothing about her (or cared). When they left the Firm to be 'independent', I was happy for them. I watched the Oprah interview, then saw all the evidence of lies (even I said during the interview "Hey, Harry, I've seen lots of pictures of your father riding his bike with you! What do you mean you never did that??"), and all the drama and the whining ("Daddy isn't giving me money."..ummm...Harry, you are almost 40; get a job), so I started paying more attention to them. Exactly. I spent half my summer at the beach as a baby and child. There is just nothing like it. Playing in the sand, building castles, burying cousins and then running into the water. I think they are not like for the following reasons 1. They spoke to Oprah about how poorly they were treated by the Royal Family knowing full well the R.F. Does not respond to these type of comments. So this was a terrible betrayal 2. To have dissed Queen who most people loved and who has always put the ‘job’ as a priority. 2. They refused to take the opportunity have the Queen see their children the last few months of her life - that was very petty and vindictive. 3. He betrayed his brother and Catherine as well by telling lies 4.Their Netflix show just showed them as complainers and not worth the time to watch. 5. Harry, being the dolt that he is, enabled her and this is why both of them are where they are today. What a shame.
