My jaw hit the floor when I saw what she wore to this Summit. I'm retired now, but I worked in the corporate world for decades. If anyone had dared to wear such an inappropriate outfit, even discussing just product and sales, they would have found themselves being demoted or "reassigned". That she chose to wear this outfit for a subject matter as sensitive as losing children is despicable. But she did it for attention. Plain and simple. Meghan was so disrespectful both in dress but in the speech/monologue/mono-meg-ologue she gave: telling bereaved parents/families how awesome she found it being a mother and enjoying her alive children (despite never being seen out with them, anywhere, and regularly leaving them with Doria/Babysitters/a local wolf-pack/fending for themselves at age 5 & 3/whatever happens... ) ..... The loss of losing a child, or sibling, when they are too young to pass, is crushing beyond all measures... It's nervous breakdowns and in-patient psych stays levels of crushing........ ......... Meg feels she was an only child (despite not being), so has no concept of what it's like to lose a first degree relative, let alone a sibling, and let alone a child. Whomever booked them for this event should have been put on a disciplinary at work, as they had no way of connecting to the audience's experiences and grief. Yes, Meghan had that fake report made saying she was the most trolled woman one year, when in fact it was small compared to Adele -- but either way, any trolling is horrible to endure...... But looking at the pictures from Mayhew and Cirque du Soliel, i'm left with huge doubts as to the veracity of the seriousness of her mental state that day.... Plus, Harry only had to walk outside their house, and ask the police protection officer on their doorstep, to put her under a section 136 hold for 72 hours, until a panel of 3 mental health professionals could come to her house, and assess her. It would have been that simple, had she truly felt the way she claimed. Alternatively, the obstetrics doctor & midwifery team she should have been under: they would have been available 24 hours per day to discuss mental health with. Or the text message helpline Harry set up 4 years prior, for people going through MH crisis.... It feels like another Diana duplication, and another manipulation of Harry, and at Cirque, he looked so angry, and as if he didn't believe her.... ??? So yeah: what would Meg have brought to an event for bereaved parents/families? Why did the event promoter book them???? This one is on whomever booked them imo, as they should have researched the speakers more thoroughly. Again: Beebs, thank you for your respect, sensitivity and kindness with families who have lost a younger member/child, far too soon..... As Lady C, who has a degree in fashion design, said this outfit Meghan wore to the Mental Health Day panel talk was extremely inappropriate because it is evening wear. Also, go back and look at photos of the one official engagement Meghan did with the Queen, when she accompanied the Queen to Cheshire on the royal train. Her dress has that same toilet-paper-roll top although that one covered her shoulders (she just looked that much more tightly wrapped!). The lettermen jacket she wore to the Marcy Lab school is from the Robert Clack School in London. The design says Robert Clack above the school's logo and School below the logo, and underneath that it says Robert Clack Senior Debate Squad. She probably thought wearing something from any high school would make her look more relatable.

Oh, Beebs, what a brilliant post. You absolutely portrayed accurately the vastly differing approaches of the Sussexes and the Wales;William and Catherine, formerly the Cambridges. Meghan, in particular, does little more than just describe in the broadest terms the problem of online bullying. She doesn’t even mention crimes against children- especially young teen girls, who are lured online by an older men, sexual predators posing as teenage boys to meet them in person. Girls have been raped and some are even murdered. Then, too, Meghan and Harry take up the limited time of their seminar just talking in really broad generalities. Unlike William and Catherine who talk to both mental health experts and patients, Meghan only mentions high tech’s creating even more algorithms - although tech specialists say that creating more and more algorithms is not a complete solution. Harry at least mentions - rather inarticulately -,the importance of educating parents about how to protect their children by setting up security and safety parameters. He vaguely talks about parental involvement in monitoring their children’s online activities. However, he mentions no specific ideas about convenient and accessible ways to educate families, including children, about online safety. Would the school be a good place to start? It would seem that the Sussexes and and employees of the Archewell Foundation did little planning and put only minimal effort into developing this program/seminar. It would have been so much better to have a panel that could include the Sussexes, but also the parents of children bullied online and even one expert, such as a psychologist rather than just the surgeon general. We don’t need the Sussexes to lecture but to ask pertinent questions. But then that would require them to care enough to put in time and effort. I think they were merely trying to compete, as usual, with Catherine and William on the issue of mental health. What a tragic situation! Thank you again Beebs, for your very thoughtful and insightful post!! And, as always, your fashion critique was perfect!

The jacket came from the Robert Clack School. It was given to her on a visit in March 2020. It was their last engagement as working royals, after they had announced they were leaving, but hadn't yet left. So, no the jacket has nothing to do with the school she visited in New York. BTW- This isn't something I knew. I was able to read Robert on the logo of the jacket and from there I found it.
