I’m a CM at MK, and the number 1 things guests need to stop doing is being so rude to us. We’re just doing our jobs. We don’t set the policies or make the rules. 😞

Just dropping by to say as a guest earlier this year, you collectively made everything so much easier. You were all kind, helpful, reasonably flexible (because I'm sure there are limits) and the sincerity was overwhelming. The people demanding respect or whatever or that you ask rather than tell...Well, they should know what comes around goes around. It all starts with you and your attitude as a customer. If you're a twit and bristle at everything...yeah, you're the only one who's going to suffer in the end.

This breaks my heart, because for this 52 year old woman who has been making her way to the parks every year multiple times a year for over 30 years their are two things that no matter what make those trips consistently magical for me. 1. By far and away are the CAST MEMBERS! Cast members are what stop Disney parks from being "theme parks". Dont get me wrong, I love theme parks. I live in Virginia. I am a pass holder to multiple theme parks here, but they are "hold overs" until I can get back to DisneyWorld! I no longer travel with small children and have learned over the years that Disney is even more magical as a grown woman with the freedom to do as I please without the constraints of small children in tow....but the number two thing that will always make Disney magical for me is continuing to see Disney through the eyes of all the children around me in the parks. I will NEVER not cry watching the castle show/fireworks or Fantasmic yes, because of the joy and nostalgia...but mostly by just looking around at the absolute wonder on childrens faces and remembering that first ferry boat ride into the magic kingdom with my own for the very first time. Thank you for over 35 years of magic and wonder and for helping this damaged cynical old lady heal an inner child I never knew needed it until my first trip through those gates 30 years ago.

My pet peeve is people who go in to Disney and buy up the exclusive/limited merch just to sell it on at hugely inflated prices. Disney really need to make it so limited/exclusive merch is one of each item per person in person. So if you have 2 people in your group both should be in line to get 2 of said item(s).

This is a pet peeve of mine in GENERAL! I know this agony from being a virtual pet site player...And it's actually just as bad there as it is with real life! But yeah, why can I see someone having an entire family (as in, parents, grandparents, kids...Maybe someone who's just turned 2 and can now enjoy stuff or something?) and even using that as a loophole? It’s Disneys fault for hyping it up in the first place. They announce exactly what they’re going to have and when it will be released, which is why you have several hour long waits and sold out items. I still remember my beloved baby simba bucket. It was a total surprise release. I waited behind two different people to get him, and they only just bought drinks. I then had an entire magical trip of people asking me where I got him and cast members refilling him for free because they had never seen him before either. …but then we paid to go to Oogie Boogie Bash, and the Mummy Mickey bucket along with all the other advertised event merch was sold out. Then there was the Figment bucket, again, sold out along with all the festival merch. Thing is, if Disney is going to advertise these things, then they need to have them otherwise it’s bait and switch. Part of attending such events is to have exclusive access to these products. My friend actually paid to stay on the Galactic Starcruiser. She said they were out of almost everything!

Dang never seen flying children at an amusement park, wonder if it’s because there is wiggle room in the measurements. 1 inch under and children will fly, thinking it’s more than that with tennis shoes and boots easily adding an inch. Have you ever seen a kid wearing more than a 2inch heal height? I assure you the problem will be twisted ankles and not flying children.

I can vouch on the saving time in lines by mobile ordering. Was in Magic Kingdom this past week, just finished the fireworks and was thirsty for a DoleWhip float, headed over to Sunshine Tree Terrace, and the line was a good 20-30 min. Opened up the app, ordered the item I wanted, and sat of to the side and watched the person I would have been behind. They got roughly halfway through the line as I was walking away with my order, and off to Haunted Mansion.

Not always. There is a lot of wiggle room to be had, especially during the pandemic. While I cannot talk about current affairs in late 2021 we went to Disney and it was horrible. Cast members asking my 2 year old son to wear a mask. I explained politely that he was under 2 to which they gave me a questioning look. Furthermore, due to covid restrictions when I wanted to build a lightsaber with my kid I was intending on having my wife hold my son while I built a lightsaber. Since he is autistic he wouldn't be able to properly sit still. We were refused entrance due to the "space capacity". I explained the situation and told them my wife would be holding him but was still denied. I spoke with a manager and was allowed access and they appologized after. The cast member we dealt with was very difficult to talk with and quite frankly was disrespectful as they made comments to their other cast members thinking we couldn't hear. Moral of the story is that it is always good to be polite, but remember that cast members are just people (and many of them are young adults at that). They have bad days or make wrong decisions sometimes as well. I would never recommend causing a scene as that can get you removed from property but inquiring about things is completely different.

@@jon8167 The mask policy was very confusing for guests, especially with 2-year olds. I think it’s because a two year old didn’t need a park ticket, but DID need a mask. Two and over needed a mask, it was only UNDER 2 (not including 2) who didn’t need masks Disney should have either made the mask rule consistant with park ticket age (3+), or worded the mask policy in months, saying children under 23 months didn’t need a mask

The time about 30 minutes before fireworks is the best because everyone is sitting down and everyone has a great view. Then someone in the front decides to stand up, the person behind them puts their kid on their shoulders, and no one has a good view anymore. Why do people have to stand up?!?!

And of course, by this time, you're usually worn out, ready to sit for a bit, and enjoy a show. Like...This is NOT the National Anthem! You don't need to stand, say a pledge, and remain standing! It's completely fine to sit! And heck, even after the Anthem, you are still allowed to sit when notified... But yes, as someone of average height (I say "short", but idk if I'd be "real" short; I think I'm like...5'1-5'3? Maybe not that short), I simply cannot see behind phones, kids, and just anything in my way in general. PLUS I have tunnel vision in one eye, and bad vision that surgery cannot fix! @Steven McDaniel I do and some how, some way, an adult will push their "child" in front of me, and they slide in... it's the worst! How is that even correct and fair. I was at Epcot on the railing, and somehow, middle of the show, I felt a tap, and a parent tells me kid can't see... ok.... but then parent slides in with them and squishing me on the railing and pretty angry people around me. The audacity is amazing sometimes.

@@smlteam I actually have the exact opposite problem… I’m over 6’8” so I’m way taller than everyone around me… once everyone stands up, I have to as well to be able to see and then everyone realizes how tall I am. They then have the audacity to flip me off for “not warning them”. While watching the Christmas fireworks someone told me to kneel down so they could see, mind you they showed up behind me 1/2 way through the show. I let them go infront of me thinking that would help but they just kept using profane language about how I was way too tall and I should be standing at the back of Main Street. I informed them I had been there for an hour and then they seemed to shut up about it.

I went to Disneyworld for the first time in 2021 for my honeymoon and used Small World Vacations which took all the stress out of booking. My husband and I basically didn’t eat breakfast or we would get a small snack at the hotel store before leaving. Staying on property is really great. We did book lunch and dinner all week we were there and don’t regret it. We didn’t do too much snacking and we would sometimes book a rather late dinner at one of the hotels which was nice because you go back to your hotel after a long day in the park, relax, then get ready for dinner. We had our car which made getting around easy. I do regret not taking 1 day to just enjoy all the hotel had to offer. We had an animal view room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I got to watch zebras fighting, two geese who chased off giraffes, a crowned crane, and a huge long horn bull that broke up a play fight between two kudu antelopes, etc. And that was all just in the bit of time in the mornings and late afternoons we were in the room. One thing I remember being unhappy about that I saw was in the line for the Tower of Terror a kid threw up and instead of the parent taking them out of the line they stayed in line and got on the ride with the sick kid. Needless to say I was very glad we were not in that boarding group. Don’t allow your kid to get on a ride if they just threw up. They might do it again on the ride and someone could get it all over them and 2 the poor kid probably needs something to drink and a place to sit in the shade after that.

I would advise everyone to do the same thing I do when you know you’re going to Disney and after you start planning your vacation online. For example, if your vacation is like 6 months to 8 months out, start going to Walmart or target 1 x or 2 x a week and buying $ 50 or $ 100 gift cards. Whatever you can afford up until your vacation. That way you’ll have extra money but they’ll be on gift cards and you won’t have to take out any money from the ATM. If you have a target red card, you can save 5% on all the Disney gift cards that you buy.

I remember being 4.5 and getting told I could ride Space Mountain because I was 1/2 an inch too short. I was crushed (this was before you could look it all up on the internet). But then, we went back when I was almost 7 and it made it that much more exciting that I could ride it because I had been told no in the past.

We used Mouse Watcher to try and snag the restaurants we wanted. So much was unavailable but then I was getting slammed with reservation availabilities while we were in the parks because so many reservations were getting cancelled just outside of the 2-hour window. Clearly, lots of people snag many more reservations than they will need and they cancel last second. The system is broken, needs fixing.

It was fun but I'm not going back. I was going to take my old car but my friends told me they would feel embarrassed being seen in it so we took my car, the one that scared me to drive it. AJ, another great video. I have given up watching MK fireworks from anywhere in front of the castle. If you’re lucky enough to score a $99-$114 dessert party ( I did once), that’s great. But otherwise you are claiming your place for hours only to find taller people getting in front of you, and even worse if you’re solo. (Like you have to go to the bathroom but there’s no one to guard your space.) I would rather spend that time enjoying attractions and then finding a spot where you can’t see everything, but at least you aren’t crowded and disappointed. If I want to see the projections, I watch some vlogger’s video.

My family and I just spent the 13th through the 17th at the Disney parks in Florida. I have been watching all of your videos for the past couple of months to try to be more prepared when I arrive at the park on how to use genie plus. The first thing that was very disappointing was that all days we purchased Jennie plus we paid the top amount $29 per day. Once we made our first selection by the time the two hour window had went by we were getting selections clear as late as 540 for our second pick. by the time it was lunchtime to pick a third selection anything we wanted to try to do that was a high demand ride we were unable to select it they were all gone. It was very disappointing to spend the $29 for each person in my party of four for the week and we had very limited access to lightning lanes after noon each day because they were all gone. Somehow this needs to be fixed so if you’re spending the money, you can actually use the benefit. They are selling too many or the crowds are too big in the park to be able to utilize them when you pay the extra money. Very disappointing on how this worked during my trip.

Yeah when I was going to Disney I figure out my budget. One day at park only one character meals or just a restaurant. At magic its breakfast or dinner at Crystal or beauty and beast. At epcot its always the dragon restaurant in China for lunch or early dinner for me Hollywood studio is 50's Cafe or the drive in for me. The other meals during those days are light for me. As a single traveler I need to budget in certain ways for me.

Disney World adults who complain about kids blocking their view are the worst. If someone with a child struggling to see is behind me I usually step aside and allow them in front. @@eb6mh that's ridiculous but the way some people behave I can see it happening. I understand everyone pays a lot of money and wants a great view but you're not always going to get one. I say so only because I don’t want to lug an actual backpack around everywhere, but I don’t like making trips to my room to switch stuff out for evenings, so my sunblock, sunglasses, brick and charging cable and whatever snacks and drinks I buy will fit in there with no problem. It’ll even fit a zip up. Also, the themes can be super cute I have a Christmas and Halloween one to add to the festivities and then the other three I just rotate depending on the mood.

Usually parents try to break the height rule because they want their child to happy and mainly because the parents are spending a fortune and want to make it very memorable and worth every penny being spent. However! Here is a tip that worked out really well and was the smartest and best decision my husband and I made. If you want to make the money you spend worth it and make sure your kid/s have the best experience ever, how about waiting til your child is tall enough to get on all the rides before you go!! Duh 🙄 we have 3 kids but we waited til our youngest was tall enough to ride every ride so the money we spent was worth it and our children appreciated and really had the best time of their lives. Yes our older children had to wait for their little sibling to grow so they spent their time measuring the youngin sib and decided to make sure he ate his veggies so he could grow lol 😂 it became a memory of a lifetime for my kids in the waiting and finally experiencing the reward for their patience. Our other reason for waiting was because…I’m sorry…but seeing whining, crying and irritated young children is the most annoying thing to have to experience while you and your family spent tons of money to be annoyed all day with these irritable kids all day long 😠 I was well aware that had we taken our children too young…one they wouldn’t appreciate it or hardly remember their experience because most of the time they spend their day crying about something. For us we decided not to expose other park goers with our young and whining children because that is what they were when they were toddler/younger aged. Let me tell you my children said it themselves and thanked us for not taking them too young because even they were annoyed by all the crying they saw lol 😂 and they saw how other people were annoyed.
