A lot of poorer people rely on their phones as their primary internet source. So it makes sense. When you're wealthier and have multiple computers (I have three Macbooks on my bed, just some of my tech), you don't need to rely on a phone for internet (though I have the 11 Pro Max, the highest capacity model, because the camera's pretty awesome for when I don't feel like dragging my Canon around).

My habits (in the US): Reading: At home I read about 80% of the day and mostly news/politics and I only watch catch-up streaming services in a binge Lottery: I despise the lottery. Networking: I despise cronyism which is what who vs. what. While I will work with others for a common goal, I know I am being used, which is why I prefer to work alone. Been burned WAY too often. Spending: I find the least expensive, highest quality items to purchase until they wear completely out. And then I salvage what I can from them for further use. Early riser: I have critical insomnia. Getting up is not my issue. And getting up THREE HOURS IN ADVANCE makes me NOT want to actually go do my job. I am also easily distracted and focus to the point I lose track of actual time. I have alarms and reminders to keep me on track. Exercise: Due to serious limitations, I was unable to properly exercise these past 20 years. I got that fixed in time for a serious lung infection that left me breathless since October last year. I exercise as much as I can. Mindfulness: I have been doing this since I was 26. To do list: I keep adding to it. I finish one thing and add 2 more to replace it as I get ideas. Weather permitting, I get most of it done on time. Health v wealth: THIS is a poor comparison considering the cost of the healthier food. As a result, I must emphatically disregard this as a factor. Junk food is CONSIDERABLY cheaper than healthy food and usually within the budget of the poor more readily. I make in my job around $600 - $1000 a week if I am lucky. I pay my taxes in a lump sum when I file. My wife draws in about $600 a week WHEN SHE IS WORKING after taxes. $57,600 is our annual take home. She is a professional with a BBA-A and I am a Lyft driver. We are currently paying off a new car (old one was trashed), paying off almost $150k in student loans, and living week to week. Our monthly expenses without insurance coverage is around $4600. 99% of what we own are hand me downs. We do not own our home. We do "all the right things" to be wealthy. We are not. We are also 51 and have nothing left in our investments or savings. Our experience is that the corporate world is based solely on favouritism and not actual abilities. The who likes you vs. what you are truly capable of and worth. The ladder is based on whose ass you can kiss high enough up that ladder.

I respond just as compare and contrast. I too read every day, everything from fiction to biographies to scientific treatises. Always have. Probably watch videos, most of a political nature, about an hour/day just since quarantine. Have never played lottery or seriously gambled. The nature of my healthcare profession is autonomous, although I have always been able to work well with others. It is definitely advantageous in my area to have a good relationship with a lot of coworkers because our profession is a small community. I do refuse to kiss ass. It has forever been the best idea to purchase the best quality products one can afford-they last longer. I have items of apparel bought 30 years ago that are still perfectly serviceable. I do also have insomnia but I agree with you that I am much more productive *after* work than before. Being a night owl who has worked nights for most of 35 years also complicates things. I do exercise most days. I find the contrast in our income and spending interesting. Currently I am voluntarily unemployed because due to my profession, age and health history (56 yo respiratory therapist with asthma), it seems like the wiser choice. I subsist on essentially $1000/month currently. When employed I make generally $4600/month and that's why I have the savings to take this time off. I do (almost) own my home. No other debt. Even taking this time off, I should be able to retire in 5-6 years fairly comfortably. I wonder if it's not regional COL that causes you and your wife to be financially uncomfortable? I feel for you and hope your situation will improve.

No shit he does, that's the only chance he will have at a decent life, and you already won the Lottto being born into a rich family. That is like seeing a crowd of people fight over a slice of bread, as you cut a slice of cake out and exclaim "myesm the poor love their bread, meanwhile I eat cake exclusively, and that's why I earned my wealth. I'm just more intelligent you see. I know better than to get into fights like those filthy wretches too". God the ego.

@@christiefitzgerald5843 the title literally says «Things Poor People do that the Rich Don’t» I agree with Garcia that the title is misleading. It’s literally the opposite of what the video is about.

Don't correlate reading with getting rich! Many people list reading as a priority. It's just something rich people say to seem smart. They are rich because of social advantages, family, and luck.

While it may be true that reading is important for acquiring an education to pursue wealth, some of us read to educate ourselves simply for the joy of learning. Some people have wealth as a goal, and I think that by all means, they should pursue whatever goal makes them happy, however, wealth has just never been mine. Despite that fact, my wife and I do have nice cars to drive (mine's an AMG, that I love), have nice motorcycles to ride, and own a home on a fair amount of property that is far away from main roads, where we love living. We do have a nice book collection too, it's just that our books are primarily devoted to topics we enjoy reading about, in my case that is primarily about auto racing and military/intelligence history. Which makes sense as most of my adult life was spent in the military and in government service afterward. My wife is a mental health professional and her library is dominated by books revolving around that topic, which only makes sense as she needs to constantly read to stay up to date on the latest techniques and to maintain her continuing education units to keep her license to practice in good standing. Also, she just enjoys that subject, which why she chose to work in that field. As time has gone by though, we have found that maintaining a library with actual books requires too much space and so have adopted e-books for our recent purchases. Also my wife said I had a choice, keep buying old fashioned books and then live in our barn, or go to e-books and get to keep living in our house, with her. I love her sense of humor.

Self motivation! - Nothing in the world is purely good, nothing is purely bad; - every coin has 2 sides! - I reduced or even stopped all toghether many bad habits by concentrating on the benefits, on the achievments and not on the failures. I stopped smoking, but not in 1 huge undertaking. - First I started with smoking less by simply motivating me: "1 cigarette less is ONE cigarette less!" - And then it became gradually 2 cigarettes, then no cigarette before noon, then enjoying - yes!! - a cigarette after lunch. - I have to accept failures as well as I can (and have to!) celebrate success I generally try to avoid the vicious circle a) setting high goals (nothing wrong with that!) in too short a time (BAD!) - b) failure (because of these mistakes and therefore often inevitable) - c) frustration and self-reproach (and negating your achievments!! "I'm a piece of s***, anyway. I'll never succeed!") Be aware of who you are and of what you're doing, learn to accept yourself!

Don't follow others, lead your own way. That's the definition of true success. A success that hasn't been coverted from others or hasn't been achieved at the cost of others is considered true and meaningful success. People won't remember your riches but they'll certainly remember your works. So I will always try to leave a positive footprint before I die.

This video explains a lot. And has some facts on how to focus more. No wonder I win more games in the morning. No wonder goals and being cheap lead me to being a millionaire in Hypixel Skyblock. No wonder. This video is not just saying the differences between rich and poor people, it is basicly focusing and being on task = richer then before. Amazing video Bright Side. Also, to anyone confused on what maze is, Maze is what Europeans call Corn and Corn is what Europeans call Wheat.

Interesting video thanks. But one thing that I disagree with. I used to avoid oil and fat because they are portrayed as so bad. And I used to get food coma and slugginess from my carb rich diet. I decided to add more oils and fat to my diet and I have never felt better, and haven't gained wait. Our obsession with low fat has put too much strain on our pancreas to process all the carbs, which has resulted in a diabetes explosion. Our ancestors cooked all their food from the fat of the animals they hunted- they couldn't afford to throw out those calories. Eat like them, as we haven't had a chance to change in the relatively short time since agriculture began. I promise you will feel better!
