I remember my grandpa once told me a story of how he beat the cops system, and no, he was not a criminal. He and my grandma came from Germany to the U.S. in the 60s. 2 years after they moved in, someone shot their front window with a gun. They called the cops but the thing was, back then, the cops would come to your house and then send an investigator after they left. My grandfather begged the two officers to stay, but to no avil. Then he went upstairs and got his shotgun, loaded it, and went downstairs. He told the officers that if the person came back, he was ready for them. He never really was going to shoot the person. He just needed the officers to stay for his and my grandmother's safety, and they did. When I look back at that story, I think how smart my grandfather was. 😂

Hardly unique though. There was something similar done in the UK at a circuit called Arena Essex where a driver did the same thing on several full laps in a 1300 Stock Car. He didn't make a habit of it though given the amount of damage he was doing both to his car and the inner fence he was using to guide his car! That was in the 2000s though; sadly the circuit is now defunct.

12:22 I actually did this myself once. Parents kept hounding me and my sister to go outside and play instead of staying inside and playing video games all day. So I moved our heavy as sin CRT television that was used for our NES into my bedroom window, hooked everything up and set up a couple of lawn chairs outside. When the parents got home they found us outside with a few of the neighbor kids, playing video games. We literally made a party of it. Dad really wanted to say something about it, but found out later that Mom had stopped him, citing that with that type of creativity, if he tried to stop us from that we might end up doing something else even more off the wall, and possibly dangerous.

I had never heard of that Chastain NASCAR driver until he socked the other driver in the face this past weekend. The other driver aggressively grabbed Chastain by the collar and got up in his face. Chastain took a second to tell the other guy to chill out, then just clocked him. When you mess with the bull, expect to immediately get punched in the damn face. I'm a pacifist in general and don't care for violence, but that single punch was SO SATISFYING. It's hilarious whenever the person who starts the fight takes the brunt of the damage.

9:36 it takes away space for those who like to work out in the gym
@sabinegierth-waniczek4872
@sabinegierth-waniczek4872 Ай бұрын
Granted, but so much better than the [empty circular things in space attached to peoples' rear ends] who go for a workout and park on extremely limited spaces of OTHER businesses - e.g., my former bank. It was impossible to get one of the precious places at most times of the day. An employee told me that they were getting complaints constantly, but fought against windmills, because the patrons of the gym across the street always perpetrated, in spite of the lot being marked "For [bank name] customers only". At least this person PAYS for the space, AND for the gym. Let's face it, IMO this is the business model of most gyms. They are already factoring in that most of us are not of the stern stuff that it takes to exercise regularly (my own experience, yours may be different), and thus after one or two months peter out, leaving their commodities to the enthusiasts. [Why did I stay a bank customer? It was - among other reasons (mortgage) - the next place where I could get cash, still ca. five km from my home. I had to put up with this - until the service was altogether cancelled (alongside the jobs :-((( ), and the next next place to get cash was suddenly TWELVE km away... Cashless society nudging, methinks, but I digress.]
@jennat776
@jennat776 10 күн бұрын
Does it, though? If parking space is limited, the gym can easily hang a sign prohibiting members from leaving the property while the space is in use. In places like NYC and San Francisco, such signs are everywhere. "If you eat here, your car leaves when you do. Ditch it here to 'do a little shopping' and we tow it!"

There was a lot of people still catching it even though they were wearing a mask but mostly it was because people were wear those material masks that had the fun designs and such on them. Even the retail stores sold them. When I got hospitalized because of the COVID and almost died, the doctors flat out told me that those kinds of masks do absolutely nothing to prevent COVID-19 whatsoever. Only the hospital grade masks work to reduce the risk of contracting the virus.

Masks were never there to stop you from getting covid as you can pick it up on your hands and then rub your eyes, mouth or pick your nose thereby infecting yourself. Masks did however reduce your ability to spread the virus to others, that was their main purpose, to reduce the spread not stop you from getting infected.

~ 13:00 (celcius - farenheit conversions below) Not Work but I live in Australia with STRICT school uniforms. I was a pain for the principal in highschool- I am extremely sensitive to cold to the point that anything below about 25 degrees celcius, is cold to me. So, I would wear the school jumper. However, that wasn't enough in winter as temperatures would get as low as 10 degrees some days. So, I'd layer up. I was wearing masks BEFORE covid for warmth. I lived in them. I would wear beanies, gloves etc. Beanies and gloves are both banned as "it's not cold enough". The principal told my mum that "It is only cold enough for beanies and gloves if there is snow on the ground" and "I lived in New Zealand and I didn't need gloves".... Bro.. I am Autistic. I have many disabilities and issues that cause me to be extremely sensitive to the cold. (also I am petty) So, because my mum KNOWS I am cold, all the time, as I sit in blankets 24/7, she fought for me to have warm clothes. It got to the point that we got a doctors note saying I am cold (the doctor was hella annoyed about having to write that one lmao well, more that it NEEDED to be written). Funny thing is, the principal ignored it. Basically saying, nah, I'm the principal, I can choose to ignore doctors notes. My mum did NOT like that. She ended up getting the autism hub involved. To this day, for me to be comfortable, the temperature has to be around 30 degrees. CELCIUS. (I am a dropout. Started highschool 2019, year 7. Dropped out end of year 10, 2022) All celcius - Farenheit conversions: 25c - 77f 10c - 50f 30c - 86f I used google to translate. This is the formula though (°C × 9/5) + 32 = °F.

As a Texan, I feel the need to point out that it wasn't Abbot making the mask rule optional that caused the massive spike in numbers. People were throwing block parties and gathering in huge numbers in various places. Even if every single person wore a mask, there would have still been a huge spike at that time. My family only left the house when absolutely necessary, but we didn't do the masks. We kept our distance from other people and washed our hands after touching things. We never got sick...until my parents were forced by their insurance to take the shots. 3 days later the entire house had covid. Every time they got the booster the whole damn household got it. My mom is still super pissed about it too.

Thats the point of vaccine. Vaccine is the week version of the virus that is too weak (will show positive when tested) to cause any damage to body but the immune system will go on full attack and kill the vaccine virus easily and will be ready to kill the real virus when it attack so the damage will be reduced. How your body react to the vaccine and how much immunity you gain all depend on your body.

yeah it makes me furious when there has to be a blackout at 9am to 1pm, then probably another at 5pm, coming back at 9pm, and i think there still could be one while you are sleeping no matter how many times you pray for no lights out, goodbye gratitude and hello misery, i had to live with that f*cking sorrow for my life.

Wait you have to hide snacks to get into the cinema? Italian's law says that the only option a cinema have is to deny eating at all. Since that means their bars would become useless it's hard for them to apply that so if they see you walking inside with a McDonald's bag they can't stop you. If you think it's unfair, remember they sell snacks 5 times their prices in the minimarket

In the U.S., we are denied entry to a film if we have outside food or beverages. Much like our ridiculous health care system, our cinema food and beverage is also marked up tenfold or more from normal prices.

@@TH-hy9kr about the sanitary system. In italy it's free or really cheap (hard to go over 30€ per ticket) but it's usually crowded. How is it in USA?

Back in the 90s pagers were more prominent. My boss was constantly losing her keys in her house. I told her to put her pager on her key chain, that way when she loses her keys, just call her pager and listen for the beep. She said that was a brilliant idea. I asked her brilliant enough for a raise? She said, "That was a dumb question". So many people spends too much time looking for their phone and their dumbass friend is just sitting there playing a video game on theirs. Call her phone, dummy!!!

21:12 that's a brilliant idea. Someone should market this concept. Imagine having disposable plates and cups. Heck, you can even take it a step further and get disposable forks and knives. One day, they may even take it so far as disposable napkins. What a utopia!!! These things would be great for my house under the rock.

26:00 the cart hack with a housekey. Now, I can attest to this working, but with that being said, if you live in the US and shop at aldis, your cart gets cycled out when you check out. The one time I tried this, I had to explain to the checkout lady that I used my key instead of a quarter. Lets just say it was a little embarrassing having all those people looking at me and the cashier laughing. It works, but there are drawbacks. Good luck
