The being ageist thing applies to pretty much everything,have you ever seen a comment along the lines of "kids these days won't know how good (insert thing that person likes) was" or "today's kids will never know how good (insert thing) is",they assume that since the person is under the age of 18,they either will trash anything that came out before they were born (hell the person could have been born before the thing came out and they'll still say that),or haven't played it,to prove otherwise,I'm 14 currently,and my first game ever was Super Mario World,from 1991,and I was born in 2004. I'm just saying It's an incredibly dumb and ignorant thing to say.
@AutisticTransbian045 жыл бұрын
And it's pretty much a bandwagon too,since a lot of people follow it,and when people say "today's kids",shows that they've only looked at the surface,without actually going out of their way,to find kids who like older stuff
@JV-yq7dx4 жыл бұрын
Especially in movies too, old heads really think younger kids only like new movies even when some old movies are universally accepted as better, but still there tons of new stuff that’s actually great and old heads just be in the comments like “yea but it’s not as good as (any movie before 1990)” even when it is

And to add to #3, all these young fans need to stop ripping on old artists, because you'll reach that age someday...and then what? Example: Remember when The Game said, "You 38 and you STILL RAPPIN'? Ick." He's 40 now...and still rappin'. See how STUPID that sounds?

The ageist one is so true. I'm *REALLY YOUNG*, 14 to be exact, and I know a lot of hip hop history, as far back as the 70s. I'm not trying to brag. I like hip hop and I'm a history nerd, so studying hip hop history is actually appealing to me. I usually don't say my age either, so people just assume I am far older than I am.

Sometimes to me fast rap sounds good as hell depending on the person. But rapping fast has technical shit to it like what vowel sounds transition with another better. But mostly if you compare fast rap to a lyricist, the technical aspect of it doesnt even compare. Making double entendres and wordplay takes way more brain power than simply rapping fast. Cause if you want to be honest, rapping fast is simply an aspect of what your body can do and lung capacity.
@bootythunder33123 жыл бұрын
On the vice versa i have seen people dissmiss all fast rap as the same non lyrical gimmick (crutch) which tells me those people are not hearing the lyrics since its too much words for their brians to handle in such a short span of time.
@bootythunder33123 жыл бұрын
@@Justforamoment0608 the lyrical aspect just adds to the overall art form of Rap= rhythm and (poetry). I prefer the full package when listening to rap. Some people just only want the sound to be good and nothig else matters which is a thing for every other genre..... rap is the only genre that adopted poetry as a significant part of the art form. if you get rid of that you may as well just make a different genre all togeather.

I'm not expecting everybody to know EVERY single song of every artist (we not just talking hip hop) but what drives me is when a person finds a song from off a video game, movie, meme etc. They flood the comments saying "_____ brought me here!" & it's literally over a thousand comments saying the SAME thing. DeVince DeLowry There’s a difference between a die hard fan and a Stan. The fan will go to the rappers concerts, buy physical of their albums or just support them in general. The Stan on the other hand is literally obsessed with the artist to the point that they worship them like their a god and will trash anyone who isn’t them, perfect example is when someone post something about Kendrick, PAC, Cole, or Jay and out of nowhere some comments “Eminem better than them he’s the rap god their trash” even though it had nothing to do with Em and worst of all it damages the artist image like a lot of people like to shit on Em because his Stans are so annoying

Say "people are afraid to admit it but..." to give their claim more weight. You really think in this day in age you're one of the few people that's bold enough to say some shit? This goes triple for the internet, people talk out their ass all day so don't try that "y'all just don't wanna admit" bullshit Try to shade artists that are excepted as being better so their rapper shines. A while back some IG kid I followed posted some JPEGMAFIA stuff and a lot of his followers weren't fucking with the clips (the clips weren't Peggy's best work tbh). Instead of just not caring this man started saying "y'all hate this but listen to Cole and Kendrick white boy rapping asses". Of course this didn't help because he called Cole and Kendrick "white boy rap" but why do people feel the need to do this? If somebody saying the artist in question is bad you don't raise their worth by saying "Oh but Kendrick!" Say anything is real rap. 9/10 times this means anything said person likes is real rap, regardless of what it's about. People typically use this to throw shade at the Lil Uzis of the world for talking about drugs, women and partying but when Snoop Dogg does it 🔥🔥🔥. Yes, the difference can be rapping talent, but the issue is it never is. When Uzi actually lays down a rapped verse he's still just a mumble rapper, if Snoop has an off day (which he's had plenty of but that's beside the point) he's still "real rap". I can't take people who say "real rap" seriously anymore Try to use influence to coerce you into accepting something very subjective. We've all heard this: "Y'all niggas saying Eminem trash but like Kendrick!?!? Kendrick said Eminem inspired him to rap so that makes him trash too js" Influence doesn't work like that: you don't have to like the influenced or the influencer in any case, sometimes the styles are vastly different and sometimes they're similar but one just does it better. Regardless you're not gonna convert people into liking what you do by saying somebody else liked their music, that's as stupid as saying Jay-Z is the GOAT because Kanye likes him and a lot of people think Kanye is the GOAT
