Such a beautiful place, but then anyplace that has wide open expanses of water is beautiful to me. Add in all the wildflowers and that's just about perfect! Maggie looked like she was really enjoying herself skinnydipping on that one hike. Saying hello is just second nature to me; can't imagine just passing someone by and not smiling or saying hi. Hope your smoke problems were easily fixable - to be continued. :) Safe travels, stay well and hugs for sweet Maggie.

I love seeing Maggie's sweet reactions when you guys come back to the RV too especially when you bring her treats! Wow, did her life change when she walked out of the woods that day! She didn't realize she had just won the dog lottery! I always say that about my brother & sister-in-law too when they adopt another dog. They had 3 Jack Russells and 1 chihuahua that they rescued. They passed away one by one over the years. They rescued another sweet little black dog. Some horrible person had put 5 or 6 small dogs out on the road. My brother and others found all of them but one. Each of the people rescued one of the tiny dogs. The one small white dog was still on the loose for a year. They finally caught her and rescued her. The dog was literally smiling when the person at the Humane Society took her picture with her new family. It was the sweetest picture ever! She's the sister to the one they had caught on the side of the road a year before. The sisters rememberd each other and went crazy when they saw each other. They are inseparable now! They won the dog lottery too!

I was going tot say the same. I took the boat tour down to the end to do the long lake traverse, so had to hop off at the end to start the hike. It was one of the most spectacular boat rides. I felt like I had entered Jurassic Park....and the 8 day hike was a challenge and one of the most spectacular places I have hiked. Sorry they opted out simply because of popularity. There is a reason for it. Pity about the moose. Saw one of the most spectatuclar moose on that hike to the boat. WOrth letting people know that a Newfoundland "Pond" is actually a 10 mile long lake that was almost a fjord.

Must be city people cause country people wave or say hello to about everyone they meet while walking or driving. 😊 Newfoundland looks like a terrific place to explore or just drive around and enjoy if your physical health won’t allow. Happy you are able to share it with your loved ones, and the rest of us. Traveling with a pup like Maggie is so much fun, a four footed child that is always happy to see mom and daddy. I worked as a tour guide for 6 years at Western Brook Pond. I have many fond memories working there. I grew up nearby. It such a unique place in the world. Glad to see it once again. The trail is more like a road now than it was in the early 2000's. I hear the moose numbers are much lower because the wardens are hunting them for food for many people in Labrador as they have over hunted much of the caribou population and also due. So now they are taking moose meat to the north.

Loved your introductory VDO. But you haven’t been to Gros Morne National Park until you take the boat tour up the ancient fiord with sheer cliffs reaching to the sky with water falls coming out over the edge. Then over to Woody Point Harbour and the World Heritage Tableland Site, three of the most majestic places in all of Canada, not just Newfoundland. I think you should plan a return trip. 😊
