My mother's female cat *hates* her male cat. When the female is in a really bad mood she'll try to lull the male into a false sense of security by grooming him before she abruptly pivots and tries to tear his throat out. He's not the brightest, poor little thing, and it took him way too long to catch on to that.

I've been trying to figure out if I have a bush cat or a tree cat... one disadvantage is, she's front declawed so she's limited to places she can jump. but she does tend to hang out toward the ground, in boxes, etc. even though there is a fridge and shelf easily accessible

If you watch other videos of theirs, you can see they do have a cat tree and furniture for waffles. He’s just an easily annoyed cat who chooses to be close to everyone and then be annoyed that they’re around 😂

My male cat was always very irritated. Got to the point he started attacking my sweet girl kitty for no reason. Vet put him on mood stabilizing meds and while he is still a jerk, he spends WAY LESS time being a jery these days and comes in for pets frequently now. Made everyone much happier. So yeah, keep that in the algorithm guys.

So it’s not just me. I have two cats, mother and daughter. The mother cats exactly like this exactly like waffle and I always thought. I said. I think something wrong with this cat because when she’s loving she is so and then I don’t know. Just smack me or bite the other cat, but she always comes for love and affection, so I do believe that. Yes this cat has a mood disorderuntil I started seeing these videos. I had no proof of it but waffles act exactly like my cat, love my little Gina, but wow sometimes it’s just enough. It’s enough.

My house-void is on a daily dose of Prozac, and it makes him a much happier cat. The anxiety and mood swings aren't gone, but they're dialed down. I'd go to a higher dosage, but it makes him lethargic. So we take the edge off with meds and give him more playtime to burn off the energy.

Spare hooman needs to try the slow blink method. I fixed my relationship with my ex's cat by starting a routine of slow blinking him to show that I mean him no harm and want to be friends. He ended up lovin up on me all the time afterwards.

I'm not sure about the layout of Waffle's environment, but in my own experience with cats it's a good idea to make it more cat-friendly if you want to relive common stressors (dog, human, seeing competitor cats from the window, etc.) which will divert their attention to things they like. My tabby is super energetic and unless we give him his playtime every day he starts to get sour. Giving him scratch posts, places to climb, and even some old boxes around the house really perked him up. His favorite toy? Not the expensive ones...nah...an old shoe string that the human drags around. His favorite thing in the whole world! Never seems to tire of that.
