when I was in grade school every year we did a "Terry Fox Run". At the time I thought it was kinda stupid but after having cancer myself (non-hodgkins lymphoma) I understand the pain he went through. Just to raise money. Once Terry Fox got to Thunder Bay, he could no longer continue due to the cancer returning to his body. He was then transported back to his home in BC where he later died due to the cancer. When I think on it, Terry Fox was a legend among men. Right to the end all he was thinking about was raising enough money for cancer research. And thanks to his run, he is still raising money in spirit. I only hope that there will be a time where there comes a cure for all cancers.

The reason they dont do this is because of the fact that there has been an attempt at it but there were a lot of problems like the transportation of the electricity over long distances (the loss of electricity would be very high),and it can also change the ecosystem of that area because the solar panels would reflect the sunlight instead of absorbing them.
