The scene is complete and makes more sense in the ultimate edition,the theatrical cut deletes a lot of scenes that added more sense to the whole movie in general.(the only thing I think is bad and I dont like is "doomsday" )

The whole point of that is scene is for Batman realize Superman is human, he isn't just an alien, he has a mother, ECT. He gets mad because Superman brought back memories of his mother. You would get mad to if your opponent used your own dead mother against you.

2:26 Well first, Krypton had a red sun, they were technically at war with Zod and his loyalists, they planet was already being destroyed in the process and most of the technology they had was destroyed as well. Also, Superman wasn’t the only Kryptonion to escape…movie wise. Not sure if they’ll ever bring Supergirl into the DCCU.

I want to explain General Zod‘s motives. On krypton most infants on Krypton were bred for very specific purposes, Zod was born to be a General. However by the time of his revolution he had begun to distrust the leaders of the planet and wanted to become the ruler. Unfortunately Farzad and the day that he tried for a bell just happen to be the day that The planet was going to explode even if no one believed Superman’s father’s prediction. Sod was banished to the Phantom zone on that same day just before the planet started to break apart. Also unless you meant with spaceships they could not just fly off the planet, and by the time most people realize the planet was going to explode it was far too late to evacuate.

Not to be nitpicky, but Kryptonians can't fly on Krypton, as the atmospheric pressure there is greater than Earth's. Also, Jor-El wanted to evacuate the planet, but the Kryptonian Council didn't listen to him, and told him he was crazy for believing Krypton would perish. Zod was sent into the Phantom Zone before Krypton exploded, which was why he survived. Edit: I would highly recommend you watch Smallville. It should only take about a month (which was what I did at the beginning of the pandemic)

Well I don't know if this applies to the movies but, in the Superman Exile comic book arc: it is explained that kriptonyans have a social bond with their planet and ir they leave they die. So Jor-el did did some genetical tweaks ti Kal-El, so that he could leave
