In the lore (and the movies) there are actually two different sizes of Octupura tri droids, the really big ones you see on Mygeeto (where master Ki-adi Mundi died) and a smaller “man” sized one on Utapau briefly seen in the background when a 212 trooper jumps on a crab droid.
