This is a great video, congratulations on your success!! I started my lawn care business back in 2022. Late in the season. Created my llc, got insured. Then in 2023 i did 30k. This year I plan/hope to double that. It has been a struggle. Im still paying off old debt. (5k) and i am scrambling to come up with the taxes i should have saved. I am also needing to create a website. I need a commercial mower. My old one is not having it. This season is going to be the one i get my $hit together and do things right. Cant wait!

How easy was it to get your llc? Including the business bank account fees, ein, etc...

@@brandonhorn5466 creating the LLC is pretty straight forward, in Florida it’s a $135 filing fee, it has pretty layman terms to do it yourself without issue. Setting up the bank account I looked for a business banking option that had no minimum requirements, the EIN was completely free just register with the IRS, and it isn’t necessary unless you’re going to have employees. I found an amazing online bank called Bluevine and I’ve been banking with them since day one. Completely free online banking, allowing mobile check deposit, ACH transfers and much more. I highly recommend it

If you have some time to spare! It doesn’t hurt to try! And if you want to turn it into something more serious you can definitely make something out of it!

Interesting about your battery power equipment. Maybe you can expand about the use of this equipment. Maybe you will pick up a sponsor. That was a great idea to use quiet mowers in the morning. Maybe some people will transform to using battery power equipment in the morning and switching to gas powered in the afternoon.

I started with battery because I didn’t want to use gas since I started the business out of a Subaru Outback and I didn’t want to put my daughter inside it smelling like gas. But whenever I pick up a new customer; they are always pleased at how quiet the machines are. It does allow for earlier start times. To the point when the AC is running outside you cannot hear the machines over the AC. Maybe except the blower. Sponsorship would be awesome haha! And yeah if you have a battery and gas option, start your day a little earlier and then switch to gas!

How do you receive payment? I've never used online payments before aside from venmo and am curious on getting an actual business started, but am curious on how to collect people's cards online? What's your advice?

So the software company that I use for scheduling and adding clients and emailing and sending estimates connects through a card processor called stripe, I send my invoices and customer have the ability to just pay online with whichever card they please. To learn about the software I use I have a video out on it it’s a free CRM software

Facebook and Google ads work miracles. With time you will figure out how to divide your cost down to man hours or by jobs. Create a financial plan, size of your business doesn’t matter. This will help you scale everything.

I know it will 100% I haven’t figured out Facebook ads just yet, I dabbled last year a bit watching Spencer Claeys but I need to really do testing and never have tried Google ads, in your experience which was more effective? And user friendly

@@Greenergroundslawnservice Google ads is where you get more leads. It’s 100% user friendly. If you can do facebook ads, it’s the same. Plus you get $500 dollars in ad credits. Google ads does cost more but you get your moneys worth from it. First thing people do is google something when they need it, you’ll pop up on their search. Phone will keep ringing. Also, you have to be able to judge based off the phone call if the customer is a right fit for you. I have a minimum of $1200 landscaping and $50 minimum for mowing. Everyone’s minimum is different depending on where you live, but talking about these things right off the bat will save you time, fuel and headaches. Also keep customers on file, I use yardbook. It’s free, keeps track of everything, also send estimates through there and you are able to collect credit card payments as well. There’s a lot to learn but keep watching Keith Kalfas and Brian’s Lawn Maintenance videos a long with others in the industry and you’ll learn. I’m in Michigan, things are a little different up hear vs you in the south but all business are ran the same. Goal is to make profit at the end of the day!! Good luck, will keep watching your videos as they come out…

One question, what type of equipment (that use battery) do you recommend? Im starting with a used honda mower, an echo trimmer using 58V battery and also an echo blower using the same 58V battery. that's it. (Im looking for a electric mower because of the level of noise).
@Greenergroundslawnservice
@Greenergroundslawnservice Жыл бұрын
Hey Carlos, great question and congrats! Good for you! Ego or Ryobi are amazing choices! But since you already have Echo equipment! Might as well go for the Echo eForce 21” self propelled mower. I have ALL Ryobi equipment because it is a more economical brand at entry level but I do plan on going full electric with either Ego or Echo in the next year or so.

@@Greenergroundslawnservice I believe that many homeowers prefer lower levels of noise when we go there and do the job. Thats I'm trying to get everything electric but my major concerns are the recharge times and and planning to have a charger in my car, because I'm just starting and dont have a truck, but also I want to try to get in a confortable level without a truck. maybe im been dreaming too much. but I want planning to put a hitch and then a basket with a little ramp, only for the mower and everything else inside my car.

@@carlosmcp0 the type of charger needed for most of these high voltage batteries are like big generators unfortunately. I tried plugging my Ryobi 40v battery chargers directly to my f150 but not enough juice. I have about 12 batteries currently and haven’t had the need for more but I know before the end of the season I may need to get a few more to get through the days. I started in a Subaru Outback had all my gear inside, where I live they don’t allow trailers of any kind so I had to end up getting a truck to be able to separate equipment from actual seats
