It seems that most of us weavers end up buying and selling looms. Tonight I discuss some of the things you need to consider before you do that!

I love one of your closing comments, “Just buy more…until you run out of space or money, whichever comes first”. I have played that for my family members, telling the,, “see, someone agrees with me”. Ha ha ha thank you for your wonderful videos.

I stand by that statement! The funny thing is, I said that totally off the cuff. Haven’t even thought about it since I said it. It’s just how I feel! ❤️😂

I bought my Mira at the Salvation Army. It was in pieces stacked in the corner. Not knowing much except for recognizing the name Leclerc I knew it was Canadian and took the plunge. I forget what I paid, maybe $100-125. Came home to assemble and discovered one structural member was missing. Fortunately my woodworking husband was able to duplicate it (it had a twin) and voila! Looking back I realize I was very lucky that everything else was in tact. I sometimes wonder whatever happened to that lone piece of missing lumber. Looking forward to tomorrows segment. My loom doesn’t have a sectional beam but I think Leclerc offers one for the Mira.

You were lucky! Leclerc does sell sectional takes that you can attach to plain beams! I converted a beam on a Leclerc loom once. It was easy to do.
