I wasted time at the airport since I didn't know cash won't work for uber. Anyone that's landing here , and doesn't have a forex card or international debit card , be prepared to take a taxi from the airport. It's on the ground floor, if I remember correctly. Also , you can take your SIN from the airport. I didn't have to stand in any lengthy lines there. Infact I was the first person there. And there was nobody getting their sin even after me. Probably because it was morning or something. So get your sin from the airport itself.

as a landlord I would not be buying my tenants food lol...do not rely on the kindness of strangers. Best to arrive with some cash to get you through the first few days while you get cards sorted. You must also understand basics BEFORE arriving like what the money looks like (bills AND coins). People are not willing to help you always and they won't all be honest with you and WILL rip you off if you seem confused. Be smart.

yup, lots of misinformation in this video. Almost all banks take walk ins. Opening an account is simple and fast and they want your business so they will always try to accomodate you. I worked in banking for 6 years.

There are no commerce jobs in the 82 prioritized occupations announced by IRCC in 2023. Commerce jobs won't qualify for category-based Express Entry with lower CRS cutoffs. They belong to general Express Entry draws with very high CRS cutoffs (over 500). If you study commerce, you need to find a province with friendlier PNP (Provincial Nomiee Program) for your occupation. Generally, if your communication skill is not as good as the local Canadians, stay away from business admin, management, marketing, human resource, etc. Study something a bit more technical such as accounting. Again, look for a province with easier PNP for PR in your occupation.

Even Canadians who studied as medical doctors overseas could not return to Canada to practice because there were not enough residency slots in Canadian hospitals for them.
