All good advice... one addition I would make is to set up a Google voice phone number before traveling. I have used mine for several years international for dual authentication of accounts. Works via data or wifi with my ph sim card and it is free... Also a good VPN

I don't know how much you pay for phone but you can get Tello and just pay $8 a month for free texts back to the states. They cover a lot of countries but Philippines isn't one of them. However, you can turn on wifi calling and make calls back to the states on your number back from the states.

You can start using the future now to transfer money. You can use XRP to transfer anywhere in the world for .15 cents. The transaction is instant. The old banking system, named swift or Bitcoin is what you are using by going through the banks. They are switched over but still charging because it has not been officially announced. It's being replaced with XRP. Be your own banker!

Your valid foreign license is valid for 90 days. If you are staying with an SRRV Visa, as soon as it's processed, PRA will accompany you to the LTO to obtain Philippine driver's license. If you stay on a tourist visa, I believe you can obtain Philippine DL once you get your ACR card.
