Over 100 years ago, when The Royal Family decided to have their vacation home built next to the beach in Hua Hin. Consequently, Hua Hin became the primary vacation spot for wealthy Bangkok and alike. Today, there are two Royal Palaces with countless seaside villas, condo and 5 stars luxury resorts along the coastline.
Hua Hin includes modern shopping malls, night markets, beautiful beaches, water parks, incredibly huge statues and many other things to do.

Unfortunately Hua Hin has become expensive by Thai standards as foreign tourists and expats have pushed up the prices. It is crowded too, but still worth a visit. This is a good guide, but it is a shame that simple old-style Thailand is disappearing.
