I from Newfoundland and i'm always speechless no matter how long i'm here! You have really highlighted so many great things about our province and i've seen some places i haven't been too...yet! Great Video

Apparently my pronunciation of Newfoundland strikes up some controversy...but because I'm not a local nor a native English speaker I asked locals during my time filming this video and they advised me on this version. It seem though that there are several ways of pronouncing it, depending on the region even within NF: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWKzmYOsirWne7c

If you are European and English is not your first language, then people who complain about your pronunciation are just being jackasses. However, when you are a Canadian we expect a person to get it right. :)

I loved my visits to were my family's ancestors settled and live for over 200 years. Loved exploring old records and visiting cemetery were my forefathers rest.Its A very special place.Meeting relatives I had never met and the welcome received was so Heart warming.
@Corona.7778 жыл бұрын
+Fred Harvey your ancestors were European settlers, he failed on featuring Indigenous and First Nations in the video, there is one thing showing New Foundland as a place to visit and another thing brainwashing people that province only has European settlers. The video is completely false regarding the cultural and demographic history. No viking has been in province before First Nations/Indigenous persons. #shame

+Bonita Loki Teixeira i don't know how many times you'll beg for Native American dedicated footage. If you really wanted that, you should ask this channel respectively, instead of writing several comments describing how "this video makes me puke". Not only that but it's annoying, and you should still enjoy the video for how it is.

We went to Newfoundland, never stopped raining, sleet, howling wind, longest view was about 400 yards for a week. June was the month we were there. Take the best rain gear money can buy, very nice people. Read the history and you will see they were shafted by the Brits, Canadians & US, Newfoundland was not part of Canada until 1948..........It's strategic importance made the island a pawn.

+Bonita Loki Teixeira You insulted Canadians by labeling another racial group as "real" Canadians. Newfoundland and Labrador has a huge history of British, French, and Viking settlements. More so than any First Nations group in the region. Tough, but the truth none the less. You'd do well to remember that if the original content creator wished to focus on these cultural aspects of Newfoundland and Labrador, and chose to withheld information regarding First Nations groups of this area, then he/she has every right to do so. In no way do you have the right to demean others because the contents of this video do not suit your personal wishes. Want a video informing viewers of the history of the First Nations people's of Newfoundland and Labrador? Then go buy a camera and go on out there. If not, keep your divisive comments to yourself or be prepared to receive negative feedback for your words. :)
@arseface2k9348 жыл бұрын
Indigenous culture isn't a large part of Newfoundland, remember the only native culture on the island, the Beothuk, went extinct 200 years ago. Labrador however, is still largely Inuit. It would be nice to see that part of Labrador but the European aspect of that place is just as interesting
