I was in Tecate 2 days ago, and this was my first time in Mexico, loved everything the best tacos I ever had in my life, wander y they don’t make them like that here, the beer factory was still closed but I tried the beer at the local bar, the people are very friendly 👍to Tecate from South Carolina.

People are amazing, I was there today and every person I met was very friendly when I asked for directions to find a bank where I needed to make a pension renew for my dad, and one woman who was in the line in the bank, let us go first because of my dad who's 90 yrs old. I really had a great experience in Tecate and I recommend people to visit, it's more quiet than Tijuana , much better for me.

At Los Amigos taco shop the flour tortilla are made at home, and it is truth they put too much meat fat. I recommend you to visit La Guerita, El Amigo, El Paisano and El Tío to taste for different meats like birria, maciza, al pastor, lengua, cabeza, etc. Jardin Cerveza (Tecate Brewery) is now Open where you receive a free beer. Taste the Micheladas at Susi's (need a car to go there). Edit: Be careful with the police if you come in a car. They don't treat well to the tourists. They have a really bad reputation. But don't be afraid, they just want a 20 dollars. We feel so bad about that situation here in the city.

Visited Tecate and TJ ;last year with my wife. Tecate does not have those annoying flights overhead from the TJ airport. That's a big plus! It's a good quick escape from SD, too. Go there and simply relax for a day or two. Easy. You can even get there by the SD transportation system.

I have been raised in tecate ever since I was a baby but now that I'm a teenager I like seeing people experience their time in this peace full city but I now live in the us but in the weekends I go and stay at our house in tecate and one thing to do if you go you should try the food because it is good

For me the best tacos in tecate are tacos el patito, and the banana water is the best. I had the ones in tj they are good i guess, but tecate tacos for me are the best.

There must be another crossing because when I went 2 months ago there was (apart from the dirt parking areas) nothing on the US side, just desert. Couple Migra trucks, 7 Eleven, maybe a Casa De Cambio. When I crossed in, a Mexican Soldier waved me right thru and I walked straight to the Pueblo Magico..

I grew up going to to TJ when I was younger but the last time I went as an adult to TJ I had a bad experience with a weirdo trying to open my side of the door ...ever since I’ve been scared to go back . But my husband is bugging me to go to Tecate because the lines to get back arent that bad? I’m here watching tons of vids of Tecate lol Btw your vid is good!

+Bianca L Hi and thanks for watching. Tecate is a great place for a quick day trip and it’s not as hectic as Tijuana. It’s more of a relaxed place and you shouldn’t have any problems there.

Crossing back in on foot takes literally seconds, if you drive it can take as long as Tijuana because there's only 1 lane (that I saw).

tacos is like anything i have had bad tacos in tijuana too you just haveto go ask the locals or try different ones urself...why she all bias and hating before tasting lol after all it is all the same . mean, fresh tortilla guacamole and cilantro onions and the smokey taste of mequite.. all depends how they marinate the meat

Burritos @Los Amigos is pretty legit, rating kinda low, more like 4 out of 5. TJ tacos are better, of course, way more options, but for what it is Los Amigos is pretty good.
