I’ll be doing my Quarantine in the student accommodation as that is the accommodation I have paid for. Any advice on how to spend the 2weeks quarantine in my hostel accommodation?. NI number can be called from Uk only. You can buy a SIM card in the airport arrival itself. Or you can get a SIM card in nearby shops near university accommodation. I hope in university accommodation food will be provided bcoz some university do that. If you don’t have that option then u can buy groceries from tesco, sainsbury, Asda online and get it delivered. But you need a forex card to order the food. They don’t accept cash on delivery.

Hi Sakshi, no you can quarantine in any accomodation. Whether it is university accomodation or ur relative house or ur frnds house it doesn’t matter but u should be alone in your room. For groceries there are numerous online stores. I will post a video next week which will cover all the grocery store and how to order in them and the delivery charges.

You have to this website www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-gp Find the gp near you and register with them. Call them and say new registration. Some will take new registration some wont so just call to the nearby ones and confirm.

Hi Pranathi, If your husband is going to Uk in work visa Tier 2 ICT or tier 2 general then u can work for the period he is there in the uk. If his visa is for 3 yrs then try to get a work in the Uk rather than spending in studies. For structural engineers there is scope in the uk you can try for that roles in the uk.

Hi Vijay, In your application u may have mentioned an arrival date. They will send the brp on that arrival date to the post office. When u entered the uk they would have updated that in your system. So it will be with the post office only.

Oil & gas engineering field is down all over the world . It will be quite challenging to get a job in the uk after the studies. It is not impossible but still it will be very challenging to get a job.
