Thank you for this information. If I may offer some advice because I see you have no comments or likes. If you did this as a voice over and showed photos and video, people would probably respond more. I want to go there more than anywhere but my fiancé doesn’t want to go because he’s heard so many scary stories about Mexico being unsafe. I know bad things happen everywhere, so I don’t want to spend my life not experiencing it fully.

Great coverage of Oaxaca City. Having lived there yourself, have you experienced Christmas in Mexico? Are there things to do as a solo traveller without family?
@olivia.anelise
@olivia.anelise Жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you for your comment. I've only experienced Christmas in Puerto Escondido (the coast of Oaxaca), and overall, it was much more relaxed than in the US. Oaxaca offers a ton of things to do for solo travelers. It's just my partner and I, and I've spent a lot of time alone in the city. There are endless things to do, and you never feel alone.

Nice video and very informative. When you share your favorite coffee spot or you're speaking about a particular festival, etc., it would be helpful if you could show the name of the establishment or festival, etc. so we can understand what you are saying and also how to spell it so we can research ourselves. Thanks again!

You can't flush the toilet paper in the midrange AirBnBs and apartments, either? Hasn't been a problem in GDL. How about mosquitoes, are they manageable? Also, are there any people you'd specifically recommend for AirBnB, 1-3 month stays? Best neighborhood, best lodging for WFH types?
@olivia.anelise
@olivia.anelise 10 ай бұрын
No you typically can't flush toilet paper anywhere in Oaxaca. It's a much smaller city than GDL with many old buildings. I didn't have a big problem with mosquitos. And as I mentioned in the video, the areas i'd recommend are Jalatlaco, Xochimilco or Cerro del Fortin.

Olivia! Don't you know if you're going to do a KZbin video, especially a travel video, you have to include a nauseating number of "I was like, we were like, she was like, that's awesome, OMG, that's legit, that's sick, that's epic." And no matter what, you must address everyone as "guys". And it's better to do so every second or third sentence. Then you also have to walk the streets and have this cheesy, dramatic expression over the most mundane things in order to get subs/likes at ANY cost. But really...... Thank You for being well presented, thorough and articulate.
