Don't forget to ask for a letter of deletion before you pay your creditors. If not, it is highly possible that you will pay off your debts and still have it on your credit report for 7 years. That will defeat the effort of paying the bills to improve your credit. Request a deletion letter before giving the creditors any money so they completely remove the debt from your credit report.
