Just arrived in Reims after driving up from Geneva. Getting le shuttle back to driving misery (England !) tomorrow. I've had an epic road trip, roads are amazing over here and the scenery just blows your mind. Luckily had a toll tag this time and it's far less stressful ! Hi Geoff, When I moved from Brighton to Lithuania, The missus and I did it in a Mercedes Sprinter with an old BT trailer with two dogs and two cats, Took three trips, had a lot of junk epic move ✌👍 Not sure about the diaper colour car, would have taken a diesel or LPG powered motor myself, you can find LPG anywhere in Europe and it's dirt cheap at 70 cents L

I feel you pain, motion sickness has been the Bain of my life. The most laughable moment of sea sickness was when I was taxi driver in Portsmouth and was doing a delivery to the aircraft carrier the ark royal I had to walk up the gangplank to get the guard to call the sailor to pick up delivery. There was several ferry’s going past causing the ark royal to move enough for me to feel sea sick. I had to explain to the guard I was feeling seasick and could he send the sailor down the massive gangplank to get the food delivery. He looked at me like I was mad. I don’t think anybody has ever got seasick on a ship that size while still in a dock. It was laughable but that is how bad my motion sickness is !

Similar here. On business once, management put on an evening event on a luxury in Boston harbour. It was moored. I was seasick nauseous from the moment I stepped aboard. Ghastly feeling.

Totally agree with you about Parisiens, Geoff.but the rest of France is great. Welcoming, friendly people that really appreciate you trying to speak their language. Many years ago, the wife and I drove Boulogne - Frejus, starting at 4 am local time and arriving at 7 pm, taking it in turns behind the wheel. Epic trip!

Having lived and worked in France for 18 years, they were polite and kind in most cases. Wish I had not moved back to the UK. It is crap now. Changed such a lot since I first left. Tunnel is the best crossing but a bit badly organised. We were some of the first to use it. The security people were so bored, they asked us if they could do a full check on the car for something to do.

Seasick? I was a marine engineer in the merchant navy paid by BP lol. First trip Dubai to Saudi Arabia to Yeosu in South Korea then back to Saudi Arabia and onto Europe but paid off on the helicopter at Cape Town. 3 months without touching dry land. Flying back to the UK from Cape Town and sick as a dog all the way home

I just watched a YT video about an air collision in 1960. From one of the planes a TWA prop plane, at least one passenger was ingested by the other planes engine. The larger jet lost control and crashed into the ground several minutes later, with part of its wing missing and on fire. Not so instant.

If it's motion sickness, one third of the way from the back of the boat is best. Motion sickness tablets are great, or just ginger will take the edge off the nausea.
