I heard someone say that self work does not guarantee a relationship. There's no man waiting at the end of your healing journey, so work in yourself without the expectation of finding a man at the end of it all.
@annwamuyu8560 Жыл бұрын
Do what you can, leave the rest to God. You can do yourself justice by finding help and healing but you can't give yourself a mate but you can rest at knowing that God has this fully in control for you.

Self work is for you. You become a better person and you are able to have or foster a healthy relationships with the people around you, it doesn't have to be romantic.

My word for 2023 is Rest. So just like Sharon, I had to find rest in all the things I was actively trying to make happen on my own strength and ending up with undesirable or repetitive results (in other words the cycles) and letting God do what he does best, because I was FINALLY exhausted. And now in this season I am now resting. It is hard, unfamiliar, liberating, peaceful and a whole bunch of other things. I wish all of you ladies the very best in whatever season you're each in.❣

I absolutely resonate with everything you just said. Rest has been a season I've been in for quite some time now, and I'm glad to have passed through the unfamiliar, unsure..not very certain moments not to mention (deep moments of aloneness/loneliness).. eventually it becomes all worth it. ❤

I once heard Sarah Jakes Roberts say that relationships come with distractions, and you can't avoid those distractions. But you have to ask yourself, Is this distraction actually Construction or Destruction? Depending on your relationship, being distracted might actually be a good thing, for example, being with someone who distracts you from self-sabotage or procrastination and encourages and helps you to pursue your purpose. In such case, that distraction is actually construction.

I appreciate the time I have now, more so for myself. Building my life the way I want it for Me, when seasons change am okay with what I have done for myself... Be content with where you are and keep building yourself, particularly for a woman... Incase it's gonna remain that way then atleast you are genuinely happy with what you have created for yourself (physically, emotionally,spiritually, financially) Great conversations❤

beautiful ladies thanks for vulnerability and sharing your insights. Subscribed. just a quick question. What was the sentence julia said in another language in the last episode? It wasn't Swahili for sure. Something that rhymed. I've heard her say that in o25 ad well. Are these ladies and O25 all the same kenyan tribe? Curious. Beautiful and smart ladies. Enjoyed the conversations. Need to finish watching this episode tomorrow.

8 years later, many failed talking stages, it is only now that I have come to accept that I am the common factor here and to step back and do proper introspection. I would always get into a relationship when I’m lonely, once I realise it’s not perfect I would bounce so I had to take accountability for my toxic traits and stop chasing the idea I had of relationships and marriage. I am genuinely happy here and I hope it lasts. I hope I stay here for a while😊
