So glad I found this video! My wedding is in 2 weeks and I DIY'ed pretty much everything and didn't even think of signs lol. Also going to watch your other video on what not to DIY, I thought just making everything myself wouldn't be so bad since I do have a handmade business, but I do wish I didn't take on so much.

I guess you have one week now! I have four months and just started planning a few weeks ago. :) I hope yours goes well and you are able to prioritize your new hubby over having a “perfect day”. I’m planning to DIY most of what was recommended not to, but then I’m not aiming for luxury, just low cost that results in good memories and actually getting married at the end of the day. :) Good luck on yours and especially your upcoming marriage.

THAT would be a good initial note on your channel - the Unveiled Bride: for high-end luxury wedding at a discount. Really fits your style and would be helpful for us brides really looking for budget weddings (aka not luxury) to have a better understanding of your goal. Doesn’t look like you’re posting anymore though, and I think I’ve finished binging the channel now, so thank you for the bits of advice I did find!

Honestly, this is something I’m probably going to pull out my hair for later, but I want to make my own wedding dress. I’m hoping to start a professional sewing business anyway, so I’d have experience, and I could make my dress look however the heck I want, without having to pay for a label.

Great video. I ended up DIYing my escort cards amongst other things. I love my 2 dogs but they are not going to be a part of the ceremony, due to logistics. I took a favorite photo of each of them and made it look like a vintage photo/sketch. Added a border around the card with a color from wedding, and typed in each name from the guest list. Half of the escort cards have my beagle, and the other half have my terrier mix. Even my fiancé and myself will have one that says “bride” and “groom”on our sweetheart table.This way they are a part of everyone’s wedding experience, as they will able to look at them while they’re eating their dinner and enjoying the entertainment. I will note that I do have a Fashion degree and a lot of graphic design experience.

Hi Kyle, this is a random question but have you ever done a wedding where the ceremony takes place in the same area as the reception? Tables are setup in the ceremony as they would be for the reception so guests never really have to leave their seats. Covid has changed our wedding plans a lot including having to have it outside and I am trying to use the little bit of space we have outdoors, wisely. Thanks for your super helpful videos 🤍

Hi Vivi! I personally haven’t done this, but I have done some rain plans that included this option. So usually you would do your ceremony and have the tables pushed to the side. Then during cocktail hour outside (or in another area) you could set the reception tables up in the ceremony space. However, your plan sounds much less complicated! I would just be sure that you set it up so everyone can see! Hope this helps 💕

Do you have any suggestions for companies for floral arrangements where you can put them together yourself?

Hey Alexa! I do not have one yet - but it is definitely on my list! Is there anything specific you want to see on it? Like how-tos, or more just inspiration and ideas? So happy to have you here!! xo Kyle

Speaking of DIYs (lol sorry) can you do a video on what verbiage and information we should ABSOLUTELY use on our DIY’d save the dates and invites? I’m so conflicted on the wording. My parents are not paying for my wedding so I shouldn’t have to introduce them on the main invitation, but I’m getting different suggestions on that. Also- the ceremony is in a meadow, how do I remind my guests it’s outside but the reception is inside. I caved and made a website but who actually checks those

Hey TeKeia! Thank you so much for the request, I get tons of questions on wording so I will definitely put together a video on that! I agree that you don’t need to introduce your parents on the invite if they aren’t paying/hosting the wedding. It would be cute to say something like “ceremony to be held in the meadow at 4pm” - that will be enough of a heads up for your guests that the ceremony will be outdoors. Then I don’t think you need to say anything about the reception being indoors. I hope this helps 💕

I always look at the wedding websites! I am actually having my guests RSVP on mine to force them to go on it at least once (this will also cut down on the hassle of organizing those little RSVP cards and create less waste)

Most venues come with an event manager..is that the same as the day of coordinator? They charge an extra fee for the event manager so do I have to hire an additional day of coordinator?
@TheUnveiledBride
@TheUnveiledBride 3 жыл бұрын
It totally depends on the venue! Usually venue managers are more about managing the venue aspects of the wedding, but they don’t necessarily stay on top of all of your other vendors and manage your day-of timeline etc. I would ask your venue for a full list of the scope of their event manager and if their brides usually hire another day-of coordinator!
