Tip:use inverted sorters as junctions instead,its instant and makes the items go slightly faster(just select an item that dosn't go inside or it will mess up,unless if selected item needed to go to other way)

For crawlers, since they are updated to no longer explode on conveyors, you can still use the player ship to make them explode since player ship respawn is instant, free, and the ship is fast.

That conveyer snake after the junction/distributer tardis gave me flashbacks of old-school ministry where I used to make a giant snake out of energy lasers to get a battery and giant conveyer things to safe resources

That 4 junctions stored 204 items. Impressive, but vaults(even containers) are more efficient. Might be useful if you do not have thorium on map, or instead of conveyor to the front line. One junction holds 12 items in 1 side. 48 total, which means that 2x2 should hold 192 items. The only benefit to this is ability to dedicate more that 6x6 space for storage, and be able to retrieve items back at any time

That seperator trick, is genius i use seperators to create the 3/4 materials for surge alloys and i always mess up on seperating those four materials and clog the machine so thanks alot for that trick

The chess scheme is much more efficient if you use inverted sorters and underflow gates instead of routers and junctions.

I'd like to understand the mechanics behind tip #1, using sorters to make the core wider. What type of item is the sorter sorting for? And if an input comes down into the upper left sorter, wouldn't that input just keep flowing downward through a set of sorters? I guess I don't fully understand the mechanics of how sorters or other item moving blocks behave.

set sorters to "Nothing" If an item is selected then, click that item again 0= Sorter then * = core 000 0* if it goes through the corner then it will go to right and right again and reach core Also don't use router to fill gap, they can store items and it can block other stuff from going in

Given this is how it works, it sounds like it works the same as just having 4 sorters one diagonally outside each corner of the core, with standard conveyor belts in the gaps instead. And this wouldn't really expand the intake capacity of the core, it's just merging multiple intake flows into a single intake flow. So, if that's all it's doing, why bother with sorters? Unless the sorters somehow allow you to ingest more quickly than conveyor belts?

I dont undestand the coal kickstart thing. If you built that the exact same way you did except you put the combustion generator on a router, you wouldnt have to manually put coal into the comb gen. The router would just immediately kick some into the comb gen and start it up.
