alternatively, you can use the stepping mechanic---the one where you hold and drag your sky kid to make them take a step forward. it works for both chibis and non-chibis. most bodies of water don't lose the 'floating' mechanic the deeper you go (making you float up to the surface if you try moving without the stepping method), but the spots shown here at least do.
