Rode bicycle through Naryn in 2014. Cool place. Very challenging to get in and out of; the road is unpaved and very steep in parts, coming from Kochkor. Road to the west was still snowed over at that time. Was my first of six soviet republics.

Big respect for that Shane, I did that journey by car and even that was an intrepid experience! You’d have to be a serious cyclist to do that by bike. Although I did buy a second hand bike in Bishkek market then cycle to Karakol by lake Issik-Kyl which was amazing in parts. Actually probably my best ever travel experience!

Thank you! The climate in Naryn (like other parts of the country) is very changeable so it can be many different types of weather in one day 🤯
