Critical is not hard. Here are my from someone who is not good at kh3. 1. Play on New Game+ ultima weapon is broken. 2. Buy food. Use food. 3. Summons are broken use them in every mob fight. Combined with ultimas shot lock you wont struggle ever. 4. If the end game bosses are giving you the blues grind at battle gate 0 you will trivialize the last bosses.

@@ectoBiologist21 using the ultima weapon kind of feels like cheating. I'm personally gonna replay the game on critical when remind comes out without new game+. I hope I dont have to go too deep into the key blade switching strategy gameplay (I prefer high stakes timing battles).

I would read The Birth by Sleep secret reports as well. (I think they're called the Xehanort Reports or something like that). Lots of interesting stuff to be read in there with all of the new lore that's been coming out within the past couple of years.

Another angle to the Union X story is reading the novel that recently came out. It follows the story up to the introduction of the Dandelion Union leaders as well as showing scenes from Back Cover. Only a couple of Disney world visits are shown, but they tend to be filler anyway in the game.

The Lone Dreamer There aren’t any contradictions to the game in the novel, it presents the story from the perspective of the player’s Chirithy, along with scenes from Back Cover which add some character material to the people in the scenes. It’s much more s faithful adaptation than the manga volumes of Chain of Memories and Days were for their source material.

I originally gave up on critical, but I re did it and it was pretty easy if you use kupo coins, ultima, shotlocks, formchanges, and links. Skipping cutscenes except the final battles it took about 16-17hours

Yeah I had a feeling it was going to be scold as well because when we go into the final world as sora when you’re talking to her she clearly states they took her name and everything about her so she basically forgot who she was in the process of whatever they did to her or whoever the people are that took her name.

Me personally? I just played to see the cutscenes. It had the MOST of any KH game. Basically it was a movie :) soo I felt their was no point in making it harder than it should be if you are just really trying to get to the next scene. Cool to learn all this new stuff though.

fact: KH3 lacks end game content like super bosses (reason why there is no reason to lv up at all, even at critical mode - bet it at lv 60, and that was because i was crazy for that platinum throphy), and i was here, thinking to myself, that i heared that they were making this game has dlc-less as possible......

Wow. Fourteen new bosses? I just counted and, aside from the Organization battles and Dark Inferno bonus boss (and combining multi-stage fights while counting the mini-bosses), there are about seventeen bosses in the base game (the ones I'm not counting add up to seven, but that final total still isn't even twice as many as the new fights). Seriously, if you don't read the secret reports and then go and complain about how the lore makes no sense, then that's your problem. The secret reports exist to expand on information that they don't have time to explain in the base game's story. They're not even as long as the KH2 Secret Ansem Reports (but those can be tackled either in one sitting or one at a time, just read as soon as you get them). The TL;DR of it is... just read the Reports. I am in the middle of Critical Mode. Just finished The Caribbean today. And I am really enjoying the challenge, though the cheap insta-one-shot attacks can be really annoying.

Tip for anyone intimidated by Critical mode and doesn't care about speed run just cheesing it. Play through once on any mode and get Ultimate Weapon then load a new game+ and chose Critical mode. You'll start with Ultimate Weapon and can fully upgrade it by the Caribbean to its 13/13 stat. Its shock lock will insta-kill mob fights and its abilities let it you fill the action gauge at a normal rate. Last Ultimate form is pure win. Just spam attack and you'll melt any boss with little effort.

Well idk. I dont have a completed crit file atm (pretty busy year for me so I didnt have time to go back when it released). I've heard that the free update is supposed to make changes, so ive been debating between beating the game in crit mode before remind releases or waiting to do both at the same time. Any thoughts?

I think it could be a nice experience to play KH3 from the beginning including all the new ReMind stuff they seem to add in to the main story. However, if it’s really true that we need these two items for Oathkeeper and Oblivion then you have to consider to beat the game without either Oathkeeper or Oblivion 🧐

i completed the game on Xbox One however i want to play Remind on the PS4 becsuse it's releasing early there but I don't want to replay the entire story on the PS4 too so I wish they could do like how they did with FFXV where if you choose what expansion you play it warns you to play the normal story before or just play the expansion straight off. And i don't see the point in purchasing a 60$ DLC only to find out that it's locked behind the main story. Like i said, i already 100% KH3 on the Xbox so i don't want to 100% it again because it's TOO LONG and I have other JRPG and FPS franchises I play and not just Kingdom Hearts.

Just start farming ingredients in disney worlds to keep you preoccupied while constantly killing the same enemies. Helps you level boost and farm synthesis materials. Im currently on my Critical run with ALL of Sora's stats maxed out. Just reached Graveyard today. Pretty sure I'm going to polish off the game tomorrow morning

So I just started playing KH3 again after I beat it back in March and now I’m remembering why I haven’t played it much, this is game is so broken. The camera is BY FAR the worst in the series, its horrendous! I hate the floaty gameplay, Sora flies all over the place and takes forever to land, and he keeps knocking enemies back out of range, missing the finisher and giving enemies a chance to retaliate. His reaction time is soooo slow compared to KH2 it drives me insane. The guard ability has been totally nerfed. The FORCED “rage mode”. At least with anti-Sora form in kh2 it only activated if you abused drive forms, here anytime your health drops you have work around the command for 30 sec and not accidentally hit it. Wish we could turn it off like those god awful attractions in critical mode. I’m not holding my breath this DLC is gonna fix everything. There’s too many issues from story to execution, gameplay and pacing. Uninteresting worlds and lame mini games (looking at you 100 acre wood). KH3 is by far the weakest in the main trilogy and it’s unfortunate. With the capabilities of the PS4 and over 10 years to come up with new innovative ideas KH3 falls flat on every level. The game isn’t “bad” as a game but piss poor when compared to its predecessors

Fly on the edge of the field can give you more time to react, you can also block and dodge the scatter shot. The wheel of fate has an extended dash in the first form change I believe that's good for dodging.

You're right, I pre-ordered both of them while I am currently playing dragon quest. It's been 8 days since I've played and I already have 70 hours in the game(haven't finished the game yet). RPGs are just too addictive. DBZ: Kakarot will have to be finished at 100% also and Re:Mind too. I'm hoping that Re:Mind is long but not too long. I'm just glad that Final Fantasy VII remake does not come out this month or I would play 25 hours per day.

It's guaranteed to happen at some point. Many games come pre-packaged with the DLC eventually. Final Fantasy XV has the Royal Edition which includes Episode Gladiolus, Episode Prompto and Episode Ignis. No doubt at some point there'll be a Dark Seeker Saga collection, since some games in the series are available in at least three different release compilations. The Switch port for Alien Isolation has the DLC included.
