I know this world was EXTREMELY short, but it’s honestly one of my favorite worlds in the series. It’s atmosphere and world design was just absolutely jaw dropping to me, as well as the music.

The reason why I loved the Final Fantasy characters in KH2 is because they made the original worlds feel more full and alive; I mean, just imagine what it would have been like without them. It just feels lonely, not having a supporting team like them, while also barely ever being able to interact with the main cast of characters until the endgame =( I'm also disappointed that KH3 doesn't have a big middle part to it like KH2's battle in Hollow Bastion.

12:36 The reason many people are upset about the lack of Final Fantasy characters is that they remember that Kingdom Hearts is a crossover between Disney and Final Fantasy. Also, I read negative comments about Kingdom Hearts 3 having too much Disney. Putting two and two together, I would say that the elements from both Disney and Final Fantasy are what made Kingdom Hearts so magical. Leaving out Final Fantasy is like stripping Kingdom Hearts half of it’s magic and that’s what made many people upset. Nomura also said that he wanted to give the Kingdom Hearts characters less support.

Unlike Disney in Kingdom Hearts the Final Fantasy Elements of the game hardly are even in 5% of the series. While Disney is is represented in about 80% of all of the series.. Kingdom Hearts is still Kingdom Hearts without Final Fantasy in fact we've had 2 games previously where there was no Final Fantasy Involvement and no-one complained then...

True, but that is because they are considered to be side titles, or as many of those thick-skulled nitwits would say, spin-offs. Many folks view the numbered titles in a very high regard. Particularly because of the Final Fantasy presence in KH1 and KH2. The lack of that in KH3 is what made them upset. I also agree with what you said because they haven’t realized that the series has grown over the years.

Considering Sora grew up on Destiny Island with FF characters, his first world is spent with FF characters, along with a whole world being dedicated to them Hollow Bastion (Radiant Garden). I'd say FF characters are significant enough. I love KH3 with a passion and have played every single KH game, excluding Recoded. I still feel that FF is a very important part of the KH universe.

Another thing is that 3D did include characters from other Square Enix properties, namely The World Ends With You. With KHIII, the best we got was a moogle and Fake Noctis-um, I mean Yozora. I hope this isn’t a permanent thing going forward, and to be honest it isn’t a massive dealbreaker, but it definitely feels like a slap in the face to Square/Final Fantasy fans.

I really REALLY enjoyed reading through the various stars in the Final World. It was such an abrupt change of tone that brought me back to old Final Fantasy games, where the final dungeon was this weird-surreal landscape to explore, where time, space and memories got all twisted and melted together. I really wished Scala was a bit more explorable tho :(

....Nomura knew he made a master piece, I literally was like STAHPPP it when you read that part haha. But I can see what he was going for when it comes to the final world. I would like to explore that place more, or even have namine talk about it since she was there. I can see what he means about knowing what you want to happen, and things slightly change along thw way. You alway find something to spice things up as you move forward and Nomura did that. Main reason I love the series, he stuck to the story and everything was relevant. Each game. Every step of the way. Cant say what his OG vision was but, I'm happy with what we have seen! Also, Ff characters, I feel are nice to see but not super important to the series...and in KH 3 they did at least pay homage in the toy box world, so that's nice! For KH 3 the plot was leading up to the battle and reviving everyone and the ff squad didn't fit too well into the story like Nomura said. Do I think we will see them again? Yeah. Probably even in the dlc potentially as a cameo or something. In future games? Most likely, but in this Riku, Sora, Yozora game... I think not.

I personally was heavily disappointed about the lack of Final Fantasy characters because - like one of the previous commenters already stated - this feels as if they had taken half of its magic away. Kingdom Hearts being a crossover of Disney and Final Fantasy was the core of the series - or at least of its main entries. Even if the main plot was centered about the original characters, those mix of two totally different franchises was what basically gave Kingdom Hearts its special flavor. And I bet, that the fans would be equally disappointed if the Disney characters would have been left out because a very large part of the fanbase (if not the majority) have followed this game series since "Kingdom Hearts 2", where it was still being advertised as a crossover. And yes, the spinoff did feature less and less Final Fantasy characters. But in my opinion, there sure is a difference of expectations when comparing the content of a spinoff with the one of a main entry of said series.

I know the feeling about Ansem. When I first played KH around September 2002, I was like, "Who is this Ansem guy?" "The reports make him sound like a good guy one minute, then a bad guy the next." Then, when I seen Ansem SoD I was like, "WHAT THE FU**!?!? 😱😱😱" Lmfao. Only to discover years later that he was a fake. Lmao. Yeah, really confusing. But, I love Nomuras' storytelling.

Just to know the final world is actually the inner self of the matrix of leadership since when chirithy mentions about her waiting for her friend, she was referring to all of the thirteen primes, the first spinjitzu master, and the first keyblade sensei but due to sora being in the final world, his heart is now tied to the matrix of leadership and to the first keyblade sensei and first spinjitzu master alongside with aqua’s heart tied to the matrix of leadership, the first keyblade sensei, and first spinjitzu master

Final Fantasy characters were needed in a main title because they were there from the start and had a place in the actual story. No one wanted them in Days or any other spin off since they didn't make sense in the story. They can't really be there in large volume in BBS since it's a prequel. Who else but Zack makes the most sense for the setting? Kingdom Hearts was built on the premise of FF x Disney. I still remember reading the advertisement in a gaming magazine years ago mentioning how Disney characters would all be wielding weapons and thinking this sounds crazy. Then I was sold when the commercials rolled out and even went to play the FF games my older cousins played when they were teens after being exposed to the characters. Either way, the series is forever connected through the use of magic, summons, and other RPG elements. But seriously, FF characters were always a part of the Xehanort Saga. They could have taken them out after that, and it would have been more understandable. The reality is that they weren't there because Nomura ran out of ideas for content and shoved the so called masterpiece into the final 6 hours. Enjoyable because we finally got to the meat of the story but certainly not worthy of being called a masterpiece. If we're amazed by placing everything into the pot of plot in the end, I would have even accepted Cloud, Leon, and the gang showing up to fight off the giant swarms of heartless after a reveal that they've been helping from afar this whole time on their own mission. That would have caught everyone off guard just like Yen Sid to the battlefield.

All of this makes sense to me. Figures that The Final World is connected with the Station of Awakening after having them as tutorials in each mainline KH game. Hope in KH4 we see Roxas fight a giant cell shaded/glowy Twilight Torn to mirror KH2’s in the same way KH3’s tutorial did with KH1’s. A friend told me that the FF characters’ stories all continue in the Dissidia games. Makes me want to play them if that’s true, but either way they are an essential component to the mainline KH games in many people’s eyes, and for good reasons. Hopefully they make a return in KH4, especially for new cameos from FF’s 12, 13, & 15! Also what exactly do we get out of doing with the YT paid subscriptions? Do they just help you out financially & all, or do we get any other benefits out of them? Just asking for my knowledge. Either way I am too broke to subscribe to anyone’s Twitch, Patreon, etc. 😭🤑

Since I played in chrono order, I was introduced to Braig first. I assumed his goal was to help Xehanort possess Terra, but I didn’t know why. When I was introduced to Xigbar in 358/2 Days, i was like..”Is that Braig??? Cause that guy next to him (Xemnas), looks like Terra!” Then I looked at the name Xigbar and found Braig inside it. Then of course in 2 I learned it was him, but then Recoded he appeared again, and in DDD, I was like, ‘what is this dudes endgame? Like why???’ Then 3. And I’m still stuck to the ceiling from that reveal

Lol, KH isn´t one of those series you play in timeline order, let alone how BbS isn´t the first game in the timeline anymore You start with KHI, then Chain of Memories, then 358/2 Days, then KHII, then Birth by Sleep (otherwise a bunch of details in KHI and KHII will fly over your head), then (optionally, just knowning the basic plot of this one is enought) Re:Coded, then Dream Drop Distance, then 0.2: A Fragmentary Passage, then the x saga (Also somewhat optional, but it´s more relevant than Re:Coded overall), then finally KHIII

Okay so I am a very opinionated fan on the series especially in terms of the Final Fantasy characters but before that I would like to say thank you for always doing the ultimanias and more stuff that's always appreciated. However in regards to Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts and final fantasies relation with Kingdom Hearts I have to honestly say you cannot have Kingdom Hearts without Final Fantasy you can take Disney away completely and Kingdom Hearts will just be a Final Fantasy game in everything but name alone and I know that's an unpopular opinion but I'm sorry it's true well as true as an opinion can be Kingdom Hearts his ties with Final Fantasy go way deeper than they do with Disney and the only reason why most people do not notice this is because they're distracted by the Disney stuff however you could argue that having the Disney stuff makes it unique and different from us final fantasies but it really doesn't Kingdom Hearts has the same themes is most Final Fantasy games just doing it slightly differently like all other Final Fantasy games do and that's why some people a small minority considerate a spin-off of Final Fantasy and yes crossovers count now no more not having them in the base game is quite understandable and he did at one point said that they were going to touch up on the Final Fantasy characters in Birth by Sleep but also time constraints and that game was made for the PSP so he's excused and at least he included Zach also days did have the mughals another thing is most of Kingdom Hearts As Weapons outside of the ones based on Disney properties most likely got their names from Final Fantasy games the items from Final Fantasy hell the spell system is directly from Final Fantasy what kingdom hearts exactly is pretty much comes outside of a Final Fantasy game it's basically just a hybrid of the crystals from the classic titles and the livestream from 7 and I am fully aware that people are not going to agree on this and most likely never will and as you've said quite a few people who play Kingdom Hearts do not play Final Fantasy and so I do not expect them to accept or understand this even without the Final Fantasy characters Kingdom Hearts still proved with Kingdom Hearts 3 that it is still important to have Final Fantasy hell even though it didn't have characters that straight-up substituted it with references which kingdom hearts is always done especially since what kingdom hearts is actual story is is pretty much just a Final Fantasy 1 in fact most Kingdom Hearts games even retread on Final Fantasy specific tropes and story elements from past games and now that we have quadratum which is most likely going to be a realm Square Enix titles or in some form versus 13 reimagined it's still going to show that its final fantasy oriented and I am so f****** glad he added them back and re mind and that he also realized that he's got to find a place for them luckily video games are quite expensive so he can eventually find it here's the problem with one thing if you couldn't find into place for them in the story which I don't think is actually true I think that was just him covering himself and I don't want to talk bad about him but it does seem like that was something that make was made up on the spot because most of Kingdom Hearts 3 and its story is very short and is overshadowed by Disney shenanigans that slightly connect to the plot but overall have no real effect on the story which is a problem that most Kingdom Hearts games have after the original game and the exception of Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance because they come off like anime filler or an overextended sidequest and I don't want to be mean about it since they're Fun Worlds but let me be honest there is so much room in the actual main story for the Final Fantasy characters and more of the main story that I have an honest honestly hard time believing that however that could be a mistranslation considering kingdomhearts3 honestly feels very rushed and so they couldn't include as much as they usually do with deadlines and all that and again I know people aren't going to agree with this and will get very upset at me saying this but I just had to say it Kingdom Hearts truly does not work without Final Fantasy and I understand if you disagree and I know you do I just have to say it just doesn't feel right without Final Fantasy you don't necessarily need the Final Fantasy characters although they make the world feel bigger or the universe since Kingdom Hearts characters are some of the most broken and overpowered characters in fiction and that's something people really need to talk about Kingdom Hearts doesn't work without Final Fantasy in Kingdom Hearts in Final Fantasy our way closer than people think expect or want to admit and as for the Final Fantasy characters as a whole it just feels empty without them in some regards not in games like Dream Drop because that's substituted them for the characters from the world ends with you but it's a Mainline game and by that I mean a numbered entry the most important stuff that is why there's such a problem with them not being in Kingdom Hearts 3 and I get it they're people who were just completely fine with them not being there it doesn't feel right and secondly on the other half that I agree with if you ever really think about it taking away something that many people were drawn into the series 4 anyway is never a good idea and where is more were clearly drawn into the series for the sake of Disney characters many were also drawn to Kingdom Hearts because it had Final Fantasy characters and they did not care about Disney and I'm glad Square seems to notice this however I have also seen a theory rather recently that Final Fantasy characters were going to be more important due to the fabula Nova crystallis and versus XIII and when that became 15 in the more was taken off of that project he switched it around which is probably why it feels so empty especially since of you going to examine what the lore Final Fantasy especially the fabula Nova crystallis is it lines up so perfectly with Kingdom Hearts in its story especially if you try to use it to predict what'll happen in the future games and I can't confirm that and no one really can except for maybe namora and other producers however I do think that it is very possible especially when you think about it

I’m thinking, and hoping that Sora disappearing means that Nomura is straying away from the main cast of characters and may go all out with Final Fantasy characters in another game or even the next main series game. Not to say we wont see Kairi, Roxas or Lea and Xion in the next games, we most likely will. I just feel like Nomura was under pressure to not let Kingdom Hearts be delayed any further. I think someday we’ll learn about the Radiant Garden gang and who knows maybe Lightning and Noctis will appear someday. Maybe even some characters from XII and XIV, that would be cool.

On the note of the light vs dark battles. I wish there were limits sora could have done with the other guardian of lights. Like a roxas,sora,xion limit. As unneccesary as it is because roxas is op. But at least a sora,Mickey,riku limit in the 3v3 battle.

About the final world, wile i like the world that never was, radiant garden, scala ad caelum and the stations of awaking more i like the place a lot. As for the lack of final fantasy caracthers i budle it with the lack o the coliseum the fact that aeluz and dilan have no voice lines, it sucks but it not as bad as go trough arendele . The fact is kh3 had a trubled development that we dont know about but is realy wath i would call the minimum viable product, i mean the caribean and san fransokyo have lithe to no story due bein the final 2 worlds and scala was crealy cuted from the game. But i dont think the game underdelivered just that it only delivered the bare minimum
