More often than not, we are more successful on the trapline when we start thinking like the critters we are chasing. The cat and mouse game is awesome and often requires us to continue learning and adapting. We punched this set in after we figured out what the coyotes were up to. Hope this helps somebody out there!

Good looking set .. I like the time you take to explain what's going on.. So often it's how fast they make a set and move on.. For some of us a little time spent explaining is what we really need. Thanks for your efforts.

I put ramps on both sides of the set at a 45 across the berm about 10 feet back from the set and aim the trail directly to the set. Spreading the disturbance seems to make the yotes less suspicious also. Nice set hope it produces.

Trapping the Mountain State can be challenging but there are definitely predators out there that need managed.

was watching another video of yours where you were talking about your snare locks. we also have to use relaxing lock in ohio and i also use reverse bend washer. i agree that the coyotes see the the big washer lock, so i started making them out of a 7/16 washer instead of 1/2 inch washer, i drill 1/8 inch holes and it works well with 3/32 or 5/64 cable. tried using even smaller washers but they just dont hold them. but it seems like i have had less refusals since i went down in size. the 7/16 washers hold great and havent had any pull out.

No better natural blocking than dirt clods do the same thing learn that from a Montana trapper a few year ago and its definitely increased my catches. That there is a guaranteed catch set, good work Biggs.

Hey there. I use more red fox urine than anything else. Just a matter of personal preference though. Good luck out there!

Hey Randy. I use mainly red fox urine bc it’s generally the cheapest. I run some coyote and cat urine occasionally but not nearly as much as I do red fox.
