Sorry to say...anil sir was trying to explain business finance wisdom and the interviewer is trying to link to personal finance. It can link no doubt but anil sirs wisdom and explaination was getting dragged to something else. If you would have told him to stick to personal finances or u would have stuck business finance..this conversation would have gone to next level...anil sir is great though

Correct. I see even elderly people now so much influenced that they move their entire savings to equity. Unfortunately government played a major role in bubble in stock market by moving all debt investments to equity. And later even made conditions that debt is added to income and only if 35% is in equity then can be considered for LTCG. (It's cancelled this year again ). But essentially in fact debt should have been treated as LTCG and also very low or no tax, as the economy works on debt funding. Anyways, I don't think the finance ministry for past 30 years have really aligned things properly. Everything is aligned for businessmen
