Excellent video. We are both in our 80's and feel better than ever! Years ago we both REVERSED life-threatening illnesses by switching to a whole-food plant-based diet. We are doing some research for our tiny new healthy-aging advice KZbin channel. Learned a lot. Thank you!

I keep telling my friends "what's in the water?" Cause people are acting crazy. I truly believe its what people are consuming (social media lies, bad foods, bad substances). Definitely started within.

Love how you said KRS One’s Philosophy joint helped your transition with food. After I heard Beef off Edutainment, I quit red meat and pork. I read and revisit How To Eat To Live to stay motivated. I got a playlist dedicated to food and exercise with Dead Prez and similar artists for daily affirmation. For those getting started, it’s a process. That song (Beef) was the spark I needed almost 25 years ago that has led to a primarily vegan diet. I ain’t perfect, but at nearly 48, I’m still active and vibrant. Diet and exercise is a life long commitment Not a short term fix for shallow rewards. Once I realized that, it help solidify my journey. Love the series! Make sure you do a money episode as well. Getting your money straight is part of this wellness process also! 🙏🏽

👏👏❤ "When the revolution comes, some...will probably catch it on TV"~The Last Poets. "The revolution will not be televised ~Gil Scott-Heron. This slogan of our movement keeps coming up. Gil also said, "The first😀 change that takes place is in our minds"....You have to change your mind first before you can change the way you live and the way you move" The thing that is going to change people....[can't] be captured on film... Currently, I'm eating good foods closer to my staple diet. I agree tasty, healthy foods might be useful for our journey. May I add the right mindset, mindfulness, spirituality, and forms of stoicism to inspire us.

I actually own Heal Thyself book. I bought it from a black bookshop in London, England because I thought it might improve my health, living with Lupus, plus Afua is a name fr Ghana, West Africa where my heritage and ancestry are from 🇬🇭 I looked at the book and put it on my shelf because I didn't have most of the ingredients. It's been just sitting there neglected for years, it's time to give the book some love so I get some within...Queen Lauren has inspired me to use the book and try a lil ting (cook some dishes). Heal Thyself from within 🖤 See you next week 😊

Being plant-based, you remove the cruelty from your life and after a while, you see the beauty of every living thing. It removes the 'otherness' that separates us from nature. We are vibratory beings, so eat high vibe foods!!!!!

Wish I could go vegan. I've tried. At 48, being a plus, plus size I am wanting to lose weight to become healthy ( I am a rare cancer survivor and lost two sisters in 2017 to cancer). I know vegan is expensive I attempted it in 2012. However I develop inflammation (doctor said I went to fast and suggested I start by eating meat). This time I would like to again, but my child is allergic to soy and most vegan is soy based and with limited income I know it's possible, but costly

@Tierra Lee Thank you. I actually went vegan right after this post (which I edited due to grammar :-) It's going pretty good, except yesterday my daughter Rotel looked so good I had a bite. Other then that I have been true to it. I still cook meat for my daughter (trying not to force a teenager to change, but making her taste what I eat). Since she is allergic to soy and nuts I have to make sure nothing I purchase or prepare will cause her a hospital visit. I thank you again and will take you up on your offer because I want this to be a lifestyle not a diet

Soy and Soy Lethicin are GMO. Genetically modified. Please remove all soy from your diet as soon as possible. Lauren Von Der Pool has a book on Amazon called [ Eat Yourself Sexy] which has so many vegan recipes in it plus info on how certain foods affect our bodies. If you can get a copy that might help give you 50+ vegan recipes such as the ones shown on this video. You are doing great, keep a positive attitude and everything will be alright. Peace and Prosperity be unto you.
