The Palms was a great place when it first opened and during it's first ten or 15 year run. I am interested to return to see what its like now under the new ownership. It had a good mix of reasonable minimums and good slot play and video poker and cheap buffet and movie theatre so it was popular with the locals but then it had some popular bars and clubs so it brought in the youngters and Hollywood type crowd on the weekends. So it was kind of the best of both worlds. I know things in Vegas have become expensive and inflated so I am not expecting it to be like what it was but hopefully it didn't change too much. I always liked the vibe there.

I just visited Vegas and went to Palms for Mabel’s BBQ. It was incredibly good. I really liked their video poker selection so I got a card and played a little. I got $40 in free play and a free breakfast buffet. Ended up going back a couple more times. I really liked it there! Kinda has everything I want for a Vegas vacation: great food options, good gaming, great atmosphere and a great vibe. And the cocktail waitresses kept the drinks coming. I’ll definitely go back!

The Palms is easy to overlook because its not on the strip but I love it for the price. I rarely leave the casino when I visit anyway, so the location isn't a big deal.

You’re absolutely right. If the hotel has enough to keep you occupied for a couple of days that’s the most important thing and this one does. One or two Ubers to the strip isn’t going to break the bank. Thanks for watching!

Talking about the Playboy partnership, The Palms even had a Playboy themed club/casino on a higher floor. I went to their Playboy casino one time, right after it first opened. No big deal. Played video poker and it looked like the same pay tables as the regular casino on the ground floor. It only lasted about 5 years.

We booked to stay here in a privately owned room on airbnb , coming from the uk we have done lots of the strip hotels and wanted to try something different and not pay resort fees at the end of our stay . Looks lovely 😎

Most pools in Las Vegas open the second or third week of March. It's open now.

The Palms is in a good location being across Flamingo Rd. from The Gold Coast and down the hill is the Rio. Take the bus down Flamingo and you could get to Ellis Island, Tuscany, and if you take it all the way to Bolder Hwy you could get to Sam's Town. I prefer off strip properties. A lot of crime on the strip and the strip properties have very high prices. Not much of a party person, but, do like good food and a good casino. There is a Blueberry Hill restaurant just down the street on the same side.

We just went there last weekend. They offered a ton of free play since it’s the same owners as a casino here in CA thy we frequent. We were very disappointed by the high table minimums, and limited slot selection. Plus about half the machines we wanted to play did not accept free play. Also, there are a LOT of video poker and keno machines. I’d say very close to half of the machines there. Unless we get more absurd free play there we’ll probably never go back. The rooms look nice and the property is beautiful.

Agreed that Palms is a great hotel/casino.. Off-strip properties need to figure out ways to bring in more tourists. Virgin still struggling even after a complete renovation. Thanks for the walk-through!

Palms is waaaaaaaay overrated. Poor choice of slot machines, not enough selection. And they're all tight. Clearly Yaamava management has not yet made their mark on the Palms. Yaamava is 1000x better than The Palms.

The food was absolutely the best part of Palms I agree that Mabel's BBQ was great. Their chips and salsa is some of the best i've ever had. Their wings are wonderful and overall great experience. That is just one of their amazing selections of food options here. If your a food Connoisseur your going to love this place. Well above average food offerings here. Scotch 80 Prime was fantastic & the Vetri Cucina was on par with it Flagship offering in Philadelphia. Chef Marc Vetri clearlying wasn't wanting a cheap knockoff of his flagship restaurant. This delivers in spades and is only a taste of the many great dining offerings you will get at the palms. Entertainment is also a step above here. As you get the outstanding Peral Theatre. Which personally i think is one of the best of it's type in Vegas. Very personal and not a bad seat in the house here. Will be coming back in October for a metal concert unlike any other i've seen. __________________________________________________ Which am looking highly foward to. The movie theatre on site is also a nice touch. Sometimes you might just want to sit back & take in a movie. Wish more places did this but sadly aren't on offer. I absolutely loved the Ghostbar and the setting is hard to beat. Hip & upscale but the views the views lol. Wish more vegas properties would put more importance on unique rooftoops experiences. This one is worth the extra cost here both inside & out. Nightlife in general is decent but there is always room for improvements here. Pearl is a great venue but not used as much as a should. Since Palms lost another nightclub with KAOS. Which unfortunately didn't last very long. That is an ongoing project which needs fixed eventually. As is really only thing missing here. __________________________________________________ The pool was also great & Spa treatments options overall a great experience. However, the best or not best kept secret about Palms for me is The Studio at the Palms. 🤘🎙💕 Which has seen everyone from Beyoncé and Diplo. To Celine Dion and Michael Jackson walk through it's studio doors. The studio has helped produce five Grammy winners. Which include among others Maroon 5 and Mary J Blige) and 12 platinum records. It’s also where Vegas locals The Killers recorded their second studio album. Who would have though a studio with such history here. Could be found in the same Resort Fantasy Tower I was staying at is unreal lol. Palms might be off the strip but worth checking out. I will definitely be coming back here for my next trip but maybe stay at suites next time :b
