THINKING, FEELING, WILLING - Nairobi Waldorf School

Every one of us relates to education in a unique way, but all of us have seen or will see the impact of education in their life, as a child, as a parent and as a citizen interacting with other people whose personality and behaviour have been shaped by a certain education system.
Most of us can remember education as mainly developing the ability of our brain, in such a way that we learn to develop one form of intelligence only whereas the human being has the extraordinary power of developing multiple intelligences.
If education is about bringing forth what is within, then it should do more than just focusing on our mind, but also empower our heart and our hands.
Educating the Head, the Heart and the Hands is what Waldorf Education is all about.

this is a very gud and complete education , my question , being Waldorf graduate a mistery always appears to me , how my teachers could be so patient with me and not judgmental in a sense of demotivating me ..Wat a Waldorf teacher bring in to a teenager life to change it without any kind of force . What are they learning to be this accurate with the children, in not producing them repulsion or hate . i am aware of the power of encouragement but is not just encouragement there , it felt for me in the past like the teachers surrounded me with something that is beginning to desaper from the society to be humane every time, no matter what? ... that is my question

So where are the kids living in poverty in this school? Not one seems to be experiencing poverty or trauma. Nor do I see anything happening in this school that I don't see happening in my daughters kindergarten public school classroom.
