The most valuable thing I think you get out of law school is the “thought process training.” Great video!

I'm 75 & never been to law school, but practical life experience is a teacher unto itself. For 8 years I made a living researching land titles for mineral interest ownership for production companies. My work had to be certified before actual production was initiated. Never did my research fail to pass muster, but then concetration, focus, & detained note taking were vital. Twice I appeared before courts in behalf of individuals that were unable to afford counsel. Both times I was succesful using the methods of citing president, & errors by the procecutorial enity. God Allmighty guided this uneducated novice in this process! I give all credit to his teaching me.Through harsh life experiences I learned to put emotion aside, & think with fairness & reasoning. Your brief presentation is informative, but can't possibly cover all vestiges of what the legal profession entails. Like medicine, by nessessity, its highly specialized. My experiences were confined to property law, Immagration law, & Disability Law. Law is a fascinating field of endeavor, that encompasses all aspects of human interaction, even encroaching into spiritual aspects of life, IMO.

Yeah what you say is true. As a lawyer, especially as an inhouse counsel, I have been holding the opinion, unlike some other lawyers, for me to excell in serving my company in the sphere of my specializing, I should constantly work with the salespeople, marketers, human resource officials, IT specialists, etc. this was I will gain knowledge of their unique problems and would then be able to come up with customized solution for each of those departments.

I have no desire to be a lawyer, but I know who's running the place and how things work. Another thing I've found out... insurance agents don't like talking to people that know how to think and talk like a lawyer.

Do you know what "The Federalist Society" is? It has evolved into a boy's club network, if you want to become a clerk for the Supreme Court or a federal judge, you need to put "President of Federalist Society" at whatever law school you attended on your resume. Best advice. Write an essay about Thomas Jefferson's path to the Bill of Rights. When he was writing a constitution for Virginia, Jefferson said every 19 years, we should be able to write a new (constitution) (series of Amendments) because factions will attack our freedoms in unexpected ways. A faction is a small group that tries to impose their belief system on the entire state or country. Today, religion is a faction. Pro-Hamas is a faction. Television networks know they can't use certain words. Americans have "protected rights" that consist of everything in the universe that we don't specifically give to the government to regulate. "Unenumerated rights" because a convention prior to 1800 knew they couldn't write laws for America in 1950, or 2024. They had no idea the Nazi Party and Htlr would take over Germany and build submarines. Or we would have missiles. Or Havana Syndrome weapons. The Federalist Society says "Go back to 1776" because they don't want new ideas to get protection, the way "free speech" "freedom of the press" and "due process of law" had been attacked by Kings in England. Memorizing our Constitution is fine. But putting Jefferson's plan for new Amendments is more important. We have enough case law, the Constitution will take care of itself. What if our next President kidnaps Putin and puts him on trial for War Crimes?

@@TXCTellsAll WE ARE ALL UNDER THE CRITICAL GOVERNMENT LAWS OF LIABILITIES. IF, OR WHEN, CITIZENS ARE MANDATED TO LIVE UNDER CRITICAL THINKINGS OF IMPOSED LAWS, THEN THE SELECTIVE USE OF LAWYERS WITH SOLO ACCESS TO JUSTICE IS A CRAP SHOOT! HA! HA! WHOA! IF THEN, WHEN? DUH! IF WE ARE: SELF ALLOWING TO GRANT CONSENT TO BE GOVERENED, WHY NOT OPPORTUNIZE THE MANDATED SCHOOLINGS OF ALL "PRE-CITIZENS" NOT JUST THE PLEDGE OF ALLIGIANCE TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, BUT THE CITIZENS' RIGHTS, TO BE SCHOOLED TO THINK LIKE A "LAWYER"! WOULD THIS EDUCATION GIVE AN "EQUALITY OF THINKINGS" TO A JUSTICED END?
