@@xprototypegaming922 yikes. Big question with a long answer, best to look at some videos online but in short its when you use your pick and your fingers at the same time. So for the opening 2 bars for example you have 2 notes being played at the same time. I'm learning the grade 8 pieces and my son is learning the grade 3 pieces but I keep coming back to this! Beautiful arrangement, with some lovely soul style licks and so enjoyable to play! Ah well, back to Country Boy...

Yeah, totally agree. Proper hard song, but worth pushing through. Once u get it you will be like "I'm awesome!" Ha ha.

i’m doing trinity rock and pop grade 5 and this seems like it should be a grade 5 song rather than a 3!! i defo wouldn’t have been able to do this when i was working on lower grades. also thanks for this coz i never did grade 3 exams so i wanted to learn this for fun :)

Thats interesting, I always thought of Trinity as being more difficult. I do agree with you thought, this song is way too hard for grade 3. Smells like teen spirit is kind of simplified for grade 3 guitar Rockschool.

The reason that thinking out load is in grade 3 is probably because there are techniques that are in grade 3 thought that is only my personal thought I don’t know if that is correct

how do you play the thing on 4th bar first note? i know the / means slide and the curvey line is hammer, does it mean do one or the other?

It's just a slide. I think that is more the programme that I use writes them as that.

How am I supposed to do bar 4 I have to wait 6 weeks for my next lesson and I don’t know what you do. Could you tell me what it’s called, if you know I can do some research and learn it. I started grade 3 couple days ago and I’ve completed 2 songs and this one is pretty hard. I know how to bend it is the thing before that.

WOW! This is a REALLY challenging song for grade 3, so many techniques involved, but a great song to learn. Bar 4. Starts with a slide from the 2 to 4. The 2 is a grace note, so don't hang about on it. slide straight up to 4. Then it slides back in the same way after the 3. the 2 p 0 at the end is a pull off. Might wanna watch some tutorials on those not easy. I hope that helps.

Without a doubt. Very tricky, should really be grade 4 or 5 I think.

Its been written by Rockschool for the grades. So they write a version of the song that is very similar to suit the grade that its in, in this case grade 3.
