This video shows the results of your spending the time it takes to get him used to you working with his ears before he had an issue. I loved it because he's gotten to trust you enough to actually realize that it probably actually felt good to have his ears rubbed while freeing the gunk in there. A really good example of why it's so important to take the time you did beforehand to desensitized those ears. Thanks for this video Rick!

Yay, a new horsie video! I have to say, I noticed a lot of people picking cats up by their tails lately. Cats don't have prehensile tails like monkeys, so keep in mind its common for cats to get tail pull injuries.

I can just see all the 'Thought bubbles' coming from Ransom's head as Rick's doing this! (And I can't type nearly ALL of them here on EweTube!) #1: "SAVE ME!!!" ;-) He's come a LONG way with this (Touching/treating his ears) Rick! Well done!! Our Mini was forever plagued with this (Insect bites inside his ears), and he was a real firecracker about this. It took many long months (over a few Summers), and we'd always end such treatments/sessions on high positive treatment/rewards, so he learned to not fuss just so he could then get the treats. Bribery? You betcha! lol

I was interested to watch Ransom when you walked to the garage. He watched you go until you were out of sight, then he turned his head and stared at the camera; not anywhere else, not at Buddy, just the camera. since he can have no concept of what a camera does, I had to wonder why he looked it it aside from the fact that he sees you pay a lot of attention to it and talk to it. Please consider doing a video on why Mokie hasn't been eaten by coyotes. I didn't understand when I moved to the country and lost my kitty to the coyotes. 1.) Mokie doesn't have white on him. White is so obvious. 2.) There's acres of clear land that gives coyotes no cover to sneak up. 3.) Horses. Coyotes are going to move on and avoid the horses. There's probably much I missed and would love your observations. My kitty dearly loved living in the country, but it's our responsibility to protect the critters. I've designed a "catio" that only needs to be four feet high, and that's great for my kitty now, who would still love to "get out there", too bad, cat. I regret deeply not taking proper care of my grey kitty with the big white chest and face. I loved that kitty. People with cats may not realize Mokie has advantages.
