Barbra! Thank you so much! I stopped and restarted this video about a dozen times in order to get the shared scrips and load them onto my machine. The last part was a eureka moment for me! To set everything to the number (1) has been an enormous time saver for me. I know that I will be able to follow along much easier now that our screens are similar. Thanks again!

How did you get the fundamentals under analyse.
@tradertalkswebcasts11 ай бұрын
It is part of the thinkorswim platform. You do not have to customize anything to add it. If you click on the Analyze Tab, Fundamentals will appear as a choice in the next row along with thinkBack, Economic Data, Probability Analysis, Risk Profile and Add Simulated Trades. ^Barb

Thank you Barb, this mini sessions are amazing!! Question: Where can I get the scripts?
@tradertalkswebcasts4 ай бұрын
They are listed in the notes. Here they are again: Watchlist: 3 Month Return Script: o8r6bDo Watchlist: 4 Week Return Script: m6Hi4ru NOTE: Scripts: Not a recommendation for use and accuracy not guaranteed). Also, they are case sensitive. ^Barb

Great short but useful session. Q. how to save the columns one likes as a default ? thanks
@tradertalkswebcasts5 ай бұрын
Once you set up the watch list, the customized columns will remain in place when you sign out and sign back in again. If you delete the watchlist, when you add a new watchlist you would have to set the columns up again. ^Barb

This great for the watchlist info, but I was looking for the Monitor Tab

My apologies. I don't know how that ended up with the wrong title. I'll make sure we fix it. In the meantime, here's the Mini Session on the Monitor Tab: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5Onn4mFbr9np9Esi=rDp52YO-FFg9Psx3 ^Barb

Hi Barbara - Love your mini series and all your other classes. I have been using TOS for years and never really spent time figuring it out. I am now determined to change that before I leave my octogenarian years. I have difficulty with Watchlists. I loaded your 4wk and 3 month and used the SP500 like you did. I have a watchlist just above it with my account positions. These settings did not change that watchlist. Was that correct? Also, I loaded your 21 day and 89 day and they went right in beside the others. Is that the correct thing to do or should they bein a different place? Thanks, Lois
@tradertalkswebcasts Жыл бұрын
Hi Lois, I would suggest using the 21 day and 89 day watchlist scripts OR the 4 week & 3 month script watchlists but not both. They provide very similar data. Also, adding a script to a watchlist is watchlist specific. So if you had another watchlist, you will have to customize that new watchlist as well and add the scripts, etc. I applaud you for continuing to embrace learning new things. ^Barb

@@tradertalkswebcasts It seems that I’m always having to re-customize watchlists with my favorite 6 or so columns. There isn’t a way to change the default, is there? I think it’s brilliant to make these mini-sessions. Thank you for doing them. Those glasses look fantastic on you.

A mini session on Day Trader rules would be greatly appreciated. I recently placed a trade wrong, and immediately reversed and corrected it. realized that was wrong also and closed and placed it again. Then started getting scary messages about being one trade away from violating day trading rules
@tradertalkswebcasts Жыл бұрын
I believe that the system automatically tracks trades opened and closed on the same day. I too have had this experience. I just respond and let them know I was correcting a trade placed incorrectly - not intentionally 'day trading'. If you want more clarification on day trading rules & limits you might want to reach out to Schwab at 1-800-435-4000. ^Barb

Barb- can a Watchlist (Custom 1)be saved with the 4week, 3month script and the next Watchlist (Custom 2)be saved with RSI 10, 21 RSI. And each time I bring them up they will have that saved scripts on them ? Or will they show the current setup of what ever Watchlist I have up at the moment ?
@tradertalkswebcasts Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can create multiple watchlists and customize them. As long as you leave them in place, when you sign out and then back in again, the customized watchlists will still be there. ^Barb
@AP-514 Жыл бұрын
that is my Problem- I want to have a Custom list for your class and one for James and one for..ect. but every time I pull them up from the Watch list Groups they go to the format of the list that I already have up. Example yours 4 week-3 month, James is 5RSI,12RSI, ect@@tradertalkswebcasts

@@tradertalkswebcasts Barb - Thank you for the informative mini session. I do not have the "Fundamental" tab in the 2nd row under the "Analyze" tab. Is there a way to add this tab and customize it?

@Barbara. I really like your presentations so I wanted to add my comment on a way to improve. I many time do not watch your presentations because the video quality lacks for my old eyes. As background, I have state of the art PC equipment and use a 55 inch new TV as my monitor. So it is not my equipment. My internet is Cox Gigablast at nearly 1 GBPS. So it is not internet. And when I compare your broadcasts to others at various resolutions that not only Schwab but many others on You Tube, I have trouble seeing yours on a comparison basis. I see James, Cameron, etc just fine. I suspect the problem is your computer hardware such as the camera system. My reception for Schwab is 1080p. But your camera for example or your PCs video card might not capture your screen enough. Finally, I am not saying anything negative about you or your material, but I hope you can upgrade the hardware to the level of others. I suspect your out of pocket cost for Best Buy technicians would be under $1,000 to do it all. And I think you are doing a super job!
@tradertalkswebcasts9 ай бұрын
Thank you for the feedback. I will pass this on to my technical team. It is unusual that you are seeing a difference since James Boyd, Cameron May and I all have exactly the same equipment. ^Barb
